The '52 98 coupe I picked up this fall. I can't wait to put some miles on it as soon as the snow clears.
Wow.... It's beautiful ! Here's mine... cruising in France ! Mors PICS https://picasaweb.google.com/onesgain/New?authkey=Gv1sRgCI7J1MDsvYrPJA NiCO
Ive been away even more.lol.. Thanx for the reply. The car really looks good. Where in the UK are ya? brighton? Nice view.
Here's my 1957 Eighty-Eight waiting for a better future. Don't know if I want to tackle this one or not. Motor is 394 with automatic out of a '60 Olds.
Here's a unique Ozzie body, 1940 Olds sedanette, aka sloper (All enclosed coupe). GM built them in Australia from 1935 until 1941 before GM in the US even produced sedanettes.
These are beautiful cars, all GM tri 5s are bad ass, but i have a soft spot for Olds. remember that gold one Oz built for D'Agostino few yeas back? If i had one in my garage i wouldnt let it go for anything.
Thats interesting stuff. Do you have more pics of that "sloper" as you called it and maybe a sideview?
Cheers! I'm on the East coast, Southend on Sea. The view is in fact the River Thames and on the far bank (out of shot) are a series of nasty looking oil refineries. The photographer did a good job of hiding that!
Work in progress. 62 Olds 88 4dr HT. Beefed 200r4, air ride, power windows, red tuck and roll, paint: medium spiral grey metallic (C5 vette), offy valve covers, shaved doorhandles, ect.
very nice, i just found a 62 starfire as well only 2 door. waiting for the owner to make up his mind.
I miss my 59 371 powered 53 I built 26 years ago,I am thinking about doing another with the same motor/trans and a 2 door hardtop this time but the parts have dried up some and the cars got more expensive then back in 85.
The Black Maria (muh-RYE-uh). The ratty look was unintentional, I only did it in flat black to make it one color. Currently the 394 is about to come out so I can get down to biz-ness on it. Will it be ready for next summer? I doubt it!
Here's mine... just picked it up a couple of months ago. All original Series 76... I can't wait to get started on it. Hey... Bigfelix2 do you have any other pics of your '48? It looks bitchin' I would love to see more photos and info on the car.
Thanks to this thread I shall be kicking myself for letting go of my 64 F85. I need to get an earlier Olds next time.
Blackmaria60 are you talking about me? Oh... that's just Jenna a close personal friend of mine. You may know her better as... Jenna Jameson! We were in Vegas a few years ago. LOL! She's GREAT isn't she
My first attempt at a "Frame Off" restoration. 1950 Rocket 88 Deluxe sedan. All stock. Mechanical work is done. Just starting the body.
Mine after a 3 inches drop, WWW and spider hub caps. I'm working on the roof, it's in primer and will get a gold metal flake before the body get's stripped to the metal for a black paint. Classic but I'm sure of the result.
