I remember that from our Kauai vacation 6 years ago... same story, same answer. My wife was mildly pissed that during our getaway to the islands, I was knocking on doors about old cars... "and just how in the hell are you gonna ship it back to Northern CA, dear?"

Pretty close...your "olds 2 door" is actually a 38 Pontiac 2 door

Hmm, going by those tail-lights its a 60-62 Mk2 Zephyr.

 

I had the same tail lights on both of my 59 Zephyrs IIRC, but I could not remember the Zodiac tail lights.

 

This thread makes me cry!

You might be right - I always thought the earlier 'hi-line' Mk2's had the smaller tai-lights but man thats' a while ago!

 

I'm no authority on them, great little cars though!

I sold them long ago, but now I have a pair of 59 Taunus 12M Supers!

Here's some sitting and rotting I came across yesterday in Paulding County, Ohio. Used to be able to find more but when steel and aluminum prices jumped a lot of cars were hauled to the local s**** yard.
