American grafitti quote.

  1. Not trying to hi-jack and I really like the handmade trophy, but just wanted to toss in my favorite quote. It's from the Wolfman when he was trying to eat up or give away the popsicles when the freezer broke........"sticky little muthers aren't they"

  3. Thanks! I stand corrected! R~R

  4. Got this off a site:
Vic: Hey Deb, How's my soft baby?
Debbie Dunham: Come on, beat it, Vic. I'm not your baby.
Vic: Aw, come on honey. Look, so I never called you back. I've been, you know, busy.
Debbie Dunham: Yeah, three weeks? Besides, it only took me one night to realize if brains were dynamite you couldn't blow your nose.

Ahhhh,.. I thought thats what he said to Falfa,..... Not Toad.

This is the line I thought he was talking about,..
    TERRY:
John, I don't know what you're talking about. It was the most
beautiful thing I've ever seen. That guy, he might as well get a
wheelchair and roll himself home. Man, you got...you got the
bitchinist car in the Valley. You'll always be number one, John.
    You're the greatest.

But !,.. I haven't seen it in about 5 years.

  12. Falfa: Hey man, I'm sorry if I scared ya!
Milner: You're gonna hafta do one hell of a lot more than that to scare me!
Falfa: Hey I've been lookin' all over for ya man. Didn't nobody tell ya I was lookin' for ya?
Milner: Man, I can't keep track of all you punks runnin' 'round here backwards.
Falfa: Hey you're s'posed to be the fastest thing in the Valley man, but that can't be your car. It must be your mama's car! I'm sorta' embarrassed to be this close to ya!
Milner: Yeah, well I'm not surprised, drivin' a field car!
Falfa: Field car? What's a field car?
Milner: A field car runs through the fields, droppin' cow shit all over the place to make the lettuce grow.
Falfa: Ha ha! That's pretty good! Say, I like the color of your car there. What's that s'posed to be? Sort of a cross between piss yella' and puke green ain't it?
Milner: Well, you call that a paint job, but it's pretty ugly. I bet you got to sneak up on the pumps just to get a little air in your tires!
Falfa: Well at least I don't have to pull over to the side just to let a funeral go by man.
    Milner: Oh ho, funny!
Carol: Your car is uglier than I am. Oops, that didn't come out right.

  14. In the Summer of 2006 I was working on a new set of molds for a 65 Cobra along with a new design for a lay down Extreme gravity sled that runs 90 MPH down hill. We where in the basement of an old mill that was around a hundred years old. In the South the Summers are in the 90's all day every day. The basement of the old mill got up to 78 on the hottest days. We spent the entire Summer working in a cool climate.
I had a VCR video of American Graffiti, and we played it all day every day for the entire Summer. I even had a small marquee sitting on top of the TV stating just that. We drove some of our visitors nuts. "Every time we come in here you have that dam thing playing". All we did was laugh. Hay, if you can't have fun what the hell good is any of it anyways.
I may watch American Graffiti again some day. Possibly in a time and place far, far away.

Back in the 70's when I was living in Southern New Hampshire I had a friend named Tex from Alabama. ( go figure) Tex saw American Graffiti 17 times. At the time we thought he was nuts. If he only new.

The XJ-6 airspeeder parallels the form and function of Anakin's podracer from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. This speeder and, ultimately, the chase through Coruscant is based on George Lucas's love of classic vehicles.[8] By Lucas's own admission, it also bears a strong resemblance to the character John Milner's car in Lucas's 1973 film American Graffiti.[11]

  18. Just my $.02........ Think about it. American Grafiti is largely responsible for what we do today. Remember, when muscle cars showed up, it was almost the last breath for Hot Rodders. After this movie and a few others, like The California Kid, Hot Rodding got cool again.

What did Milner say in the junkyard when he and Carol were walking around? Something about "see that there, that used to be the fastest car in the valley" or something wasn't it?

I like the trophy with "meanest" on it just fine. It doesn't really have a lot to connect to the film so I'd leave it. Looks really good, "bitchin" job Ed.

Watched 'Two Lane Blacktop' last night... sure looks like the idea for A.G. started with that movie.
The radio being tuned as you listened, the badass '55, but very few quotes, as they don't speak much, and a few other things.
Bryan Wilson from the Beach Boys is in it too as the tuner.
