This 1946 Harley Big Twin has a B&H Footshifter. My dad bought all the footshifters that the manufacturer had in stock

  7. I've been down Highway 41 from border to border and never found a locatation called Prarie Stop. Supposed to be 45 miles south of Chicago. Do you think they just made that name up for the movie maybe??

I zoomed in on this photo of a 1939 chevy parts counter to get the detail but can not stitch it back together. Can someone do that for everyone to enjoy

Of course. These scenes were actually shot on location on Garces Highway (155) near the towns of Wasco and Delano, north of Bakersfield, CA. The NY scenes supposedly on Long Island were actually on the CA coast.

  16. In the picture with Amelia I believe the fellow standing next to her is Wiley Post.

  17. Illinois flatland's aren't that flat! That looks like California desert to me!

I have a documentary on that film and pretty much all the locations were identified where they shot the scenes. Guess I have to check it out unless there is a HAMB'r on this board who knows because his Dad worked with Hitchcock in the 50's....

  18. How about I blow you away again with a trick I know, which is how to get the giant picture from some websites

You are correct. That is Wiley Post next to Amelia, with the eye patch. He was the first to solo around the world and
invented the first pressure suit. Who is the handsome dude to his left? Also in this shot with his trophies?
    Thanks for the pics Roadkill!
