Great thread. just knocked up a new tall shifter and wanted something a little different. For glass ones and many , many other cool shifters hit ebay. I put in "vintage door knob/handle" and "glass door knob/handle" and there are masses of them, cheap to!

been thinking about grabbing a chunk of wood and trying to carve up a skull. just not sure how how big norm grabowski are.. i like his work for sure.. lots of guys on here got skill too.. think ill take this up for a winter project. :)

here is norm him self with the cookie II with the northstar system, i can remember when i first seen this in street roder magazine... you can see the kick ass skull shifter in the window.. not very detail.. but i liked the pic none the less.

This wins the koolness award for me. ALL of these shifters are neat, beautiful or awesome. But you can't beat something your father did in the '50s in shop class....and DATED IT! Too much!
    Three thumbs up!

Here's a "Smokin Pecker" I carved to go on my '46 Dodge pickup. Just put on some automotive clear. Hope it holds up. Also made the Green Guy and am working on the Indian Chief Skull. What do you guys think?

I know the coin knobs are not an original idea, but we did these out of 6061 Aluminum and the coins are original vintage 1920's & '30's. Check 'em out.

I think they are very nice. Would look cool just with some tru oil on them and no paint. But the Thrush woodpecker looks good. The indian I would just bring out the natural wood color to show off your carving.
    Excellent carving!

Here's Doc's Lonestar Roundup giveaway knob we just finished. Just show up to the Roundup and get a free ticket from either Ryan or Doc and have a chance at owning this puppy. Many hours of work and planning went into this knob. Yeah, the subject matter is a little strange but fits the bill. Makes us smile. Give a shout out to "Doc." for being such a great guy and doing this for all the Hambers.
