When I got this car someone had started the chop and what a mess it was. The body was i great shape as it was a Texas car with little to no rust. At some point it had been blasted to the metal and had a shitty rattle can paint job on it. after hours and hours of blocking and fab work ... it started coming around. It is really hard to go back and re-do what someone else has hacked up! frenched in some caddy lights. started on the dash. this all looks easy and fast but it has been a 2 year project so far. with dash paint. putting the dash bach together. fresh paint! back to a roller and getting ready to go back together... Tires on... Wheel covers on... Grill in mock up stage ... I was trying to get her done for the Redneck Reunion in Lebanon, TN the 17th of Sept. but I'm not gonna make it. I have to get it ready for the interior. I will update as it comes together. Thanks for all the input and advice! Gadget
thx ... no ... hard topped the car ... capped the doors ... shaved the drip rails for a different look for the car ... changed the look of the whole car.
fuel lines ran and electric fuel pump mounted today ... had to spend some time with the family as well
the next 1951 I will be starting on ... going on a 1/2 ton chassis ... still in the planning stages ... but will be my daily driver!
well here is the grille complete for now ... gotta get the bumpers chromed. I like it ... What you all think?
