Hello all...long time reader, seldom poster. I really like the model car posts as that is as close as I am likely to ever get to having a HAMB friendly anything. Anyway, I thopught I would post a photo of my latest, a sort of OT 1939 Chris Craft.

I'll add to the great modelers here with my feeble attempt at the Surfers Dragster work in progress.

A few from model car display at Billetproof in Antioch, Ca. Saturday 9-17-2011.
The airstreams were scracth built and had complete interiors.
The bus and racer were 1.32 scale.
    The woodies were 1/32 scale.
The T-bird project car was 1/32 scale too.

  18. Man what a great thread this week!! Lets hope it keeps up with this one in the future!!

    TxRat,
Feeble? I think NOT! The ch***is looks great and I love the front wire wheels. The best touch is the working steering, that is masterful in this scale!!
    Rock on,

    Doc.

Sweeeeeet! :D Thanks guys for posting all your builds!! :) I would like to see more of the "work in progress" pictures on a daily basis... I'm still thinking about starting a new thread that we could view everyday instead of once a week..
Let me know if you guys are interested!! ;)

    Fantastic work as usual SteveB

The AMT kit of the 1949 Mercury is already so much better than the Revell Kit, but you have fixed all the small problems this old AMT kit has. Like the front corners of the A-pillar, bot top and bottom. WOW. This now ill become a true scaled down version of the 1949 Mercury!

And the overall profile of this chopped beauty is just amazing.
Sam Barris would have loved this one for sure!

Cool, have at it. It really wasn't that hard to do. The build was based on the Indy 500 Pace Car kit (I think Revell). I don't usually do bikes but that one was done for a bike specific contest on my home website www.showrods.com.

Drop in and check out the site sometime. Bunch of great guys that check their egos at the door.

Wicked50Coupe, that is a nice Keeling and Clayton build, those large scale kits are hard to hide mess ups. Very clean.

  26. This '49 turned out really nice! I'm inspired to find a '50 Ford kit to do.
