I must also say after talking to Korry before the accedent, he is the coolest most bravest racer Ive ever met. Large br*** balls dont come close. He makes a nitro funnycar look like a walk in the park. Bad *** as they come

I drive around S.W. Michigan for my job, and I saw plenty of cars on the road today. Looking forward to the weekend!

I was talking to a neighbor, who is in one of the host clubs, he was setting up yesterday. Said with the construction, the flow of cars may be a little clunky, and the swap meet area renovations were not completed either, so bear with them for this year, so next year can be great.

He said the one bathroom building to the west of the grandstands is gone too.

I'll see for myself tomorrow :)

I'm going to go Saturday with the 46 COE. Hope nobody cares that the bed is just in primer, just haven't had time to get the bodywork and paint done on it. Cab is done though, that's gotta count for something! Weather is pretty cool but supposed to be getting better everyday through the weekend. Look for the red COE with the unfinished grey car hauler bed and say "Hi", love to put some faces with the names on the board.

  6. I've sold in the swap for many years and find Friday is usually best for me, but there are more people through on Saturday. More sellers by Saturday also.

Is there a decent flyer out there with gate times etc? The NSRA site doesn't have much info.

This little gem was in the swap meet. Didn't ask how much. Took more pics of this than of everything else.:(

Kalamazoo was great. The weather was perfect, I found a really cool children's 1948 Cadilliac Wagon, met some cool members, sold a few things, and then it happened, the wife's Dart wagon snapped the flexplate and we had to have it towed home! Well, I guess I found were that slight rattle was I heard this morning! (I think this will be helpful in convincing the wife I need to buy that lift I looked at this weekend!)

Really? It sure fooled me. The old cracked and faded water slide decals on the dash. The fenders. The top and interior. Even the vintage speed parts all had a simular patina. It was even dusty, like it had been sitting for quite awhile. If it was just put together it was done well.

We really had a good time at Kalamazoo. The facility is great but the real plus for me was the people. Everyone was nice. For the first time in 20 years I had to get help from the rod repair shop. My carb went south. I ended up buying a new one for the trip home. I picked up an old cooler in the swapmeet. Michigan is definitely car country. Of all the cars-the plymouth nomad sticks out as the most impressive. He was parked close to us. The car isn't done but it has some great work. We'll be back. Hopefully the mileage picked up with the new carb. That Plymad wagon was built here in Muskegon

Good to meet and your Family you in the Zoo. Too bad about the wagon. Glad to hear you got home okay. Just tell the wife it cannot be fixed with-out it! Also remember it is easier to be forgiven than get permission!!!

  18. The Ply-mad was started about 20 years ago by a friend of mine about a half mile from my house. I supplied the Nomad roof, lift gate and tailgate for it. I also did the roof installation, w/s chop to match and the tailgate/liftgate installation. The car went to another father/son maybe 12-15 years ago. That's when it got the pro-street rear and big block Mopar engine. The current owner got the car within the last year or so and brought it to running/driving condition. I'd really like to see it finished.

It was nice meeting you and your wife too and I must say that you had the best bowling pin collection at the show.
