That car is not cool, exciting, or proportioned well. It also has nothing to do with what this message board is about. It was built for non-car people and children...to give them the wow factor. none of the parts on it are rare or hard to find. And It will probably sell at Barrit Jackson in 5 years for less than a third of what it cost to pay someone to build it

Cruisin' For A Cure is a great event because it supports research and treatment of Prostrate Cancer. There is a wide variety of rides that show up and plenty of vendors and raffles, please go if you can. I would not get anywhere close enough to the thing in the pic for the lead into this thread to be part of a picture with it. hope that the "bad boy" by Larry Wood can't find the Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa.

I remember the bike that was done this way. It was just a matter of time...I knew we'd see something like this.
From the fertile mind of Larry Wood? Yer slippin', Larry....might want to watch where you step...

Is "cruisin for a cure" a benefit to unf**k that car?

Someone took a dump and put wheels on it. Then called it a hot rod

Thanks everyone for the positive comments.

It's a great car show for a great cause. People work really hard at making this success.

I apologize that appreciation for hard work is looked down upon on this site.

Larry Wood is a very accomplished designer for a brand that all of us played with as kids.

If you don't like it, absolutely your opinion, but please don't disrespect the event. it's for a great cause and a positive environment.

It is a great cause....however using that thing as a hook to attend the show was not a good idea. This is a traditional hot rod forum, and that thing is on the opposite end of the scale from traditional. There is no disrespect to Larry Wood, as a TOY it's okay, as a car.....no!

Is he going to jump it from the Gigantic *** ramp in the background!? That'd be something worth seeing :)

Your show is way out of my area but I hope it does well. That particular car isn't to my taste but I bet there would be something there worth seeing...

  22. You know, I drop those skull Hot Wheels on the bottom shelf as I look for the cool ones on the hooks. Sorry Abe.

i have to agree this car should of been posted on Halloween or something. the skull is neat, and i could find a place for it in my house.. on a car it just dose not work,, im to old for such i guess. if i was 10 i maybe feeling it.. so i would not try to twist people talking **** about the car as being the same to the event. i just think you used the wrong car to promote on this forum.. im one of the young and dumb guys.. can only imagine what the grump old farts will say :D
i hope you get lots of people to help the cause.
    chris.

    p.s
i think the flames would of worked if they went from silver ( the skull color ) to blue/greenish at the ends.. that way it just dose not look like the skull was jb welded onto the rad shell. just my opinion which means nothing. :(

  27. the bone shaker hot wheel car is one of my favorite hotwheels but it doesnt make the transition to real car very well , but its for kids not hot rodders some people here need to lighten up and open thier minds to broader horizons

i was looking through some of my hot wheels.. and guess what i have a bone crusher.. even tho the car looks nothing like this.. what i have is on a small plastic plate, and the whole body is maroon type color and no flames. dunno if owning this toy makes me a hypocrite cause i do not like this build of it or not..

I hope people show up to support the cause. Costa Mesa is too far for me to travel with my little ones. That car is well built and I like it to show my kids cuz they would love it, and I'm pretty sure that was the intentions of the builder.
