  3. FYI--The "Little Monster" is heading back east! It will be left intact, left un-restored-with all the history-etc!! It also will be driven/used!! Its found a home--BPK!!

  14. "Little Monster" update!
We drove the ole girl for the first time, first time in almost 50 years she spun her own wheels! Still in need of some dailing in, those 4 Holley carbs makes her roar, but not idle! Cosmedicly, she'll remain the same, possibly add an electric fan for cooling. Time will tell, but if anyone comes across one of those Freeport Rod Snappers club plaques or a club jacket, I'd be interested. We'll have it out for next seasons events, almost made it for Essex Jct. Vt.--Thanks, BPK!!

Contact Dennis O'Brien. He has the original pattern for the Rod Snappers plaque.

one of my all time favorite hot rods. that coupe is the epitome of badass. Im happy to see it back in the northeast and hotrod keating i wish you the best with it and i hope you preserve it. while i love seeing the surface rust; i hope that one day the car could be returned to its original glory. great story.

This is by far the coolest thread on the HAMB I've ever read! Glad to read that the Little Monster has a new home and is in good hands!:cool::cool:

  21. Typically with an old hotrod, I'm for not messing with the patinated finish, but this one has lost too much of it's paint and IMHO, it needs a full-on restoration.

It looks to be in good hands though, and I hope the new owners are kind enough to post a build thread here on the HAMB.

(It is uber-cool that the engine is still in such great condition)

^^ agreed rustfords. this one has lost virtually all of its patina and im sorry to say but in this new england climate; surface rust like that is only going to get waaay worse...even if you keep it climate controlled most of the time. i'd love to see it turned back into what it once looked like back in the day. would be a nice tribute to the builder and long time owner.

That is awesome. I wish that car was back on Long Island. Us guys at Lidragracing.com

We have west hampton footage and old pics to show on our site too. Feel free to join the community. We need moral support to beat the odds here. We went from 3 dragstrips to none.
