Vey nice build! Love the deatiled chassis and Engine combo with the bare metal body. I only see one problem...you put the steering wheel on the wrong side!
Great build...Congrats....Could you move the steering column to the left side and ship her to OKlahoma?
funny how you all heep mentioning the wheel on the wrong side. We have the same problem when we bring a car from the states. Must be in shipping.....
Looks great! In the one pic your dad was tossing back a cold one.. was that a local beer?? Heard that XXXX is the beer to drink down under!! (from a mate in Charters Towers!)
Definately!! Whats Next... I Probally should start another thread for the next one we have started...... Check For "27 T coupster" on the board
Front section of floor welded in and cleaned up. Speaker mounts for some tunes hidded well up under the dash..
Filled in the ends of the dash last night. Also filled in the section ninside the door at the rear where the panel Flames made me joins the floor and pillar. Had to wait until now to do it as the floor has been welded in. Am gunna stitch a suare bar up pillar between the hinges so that when standing outsid you cannot look through the door gap. Looks beautiful and love the maroon chassis color. I'm doing pretty good, I read 2 1/2 pages worth and you only lost me twice. Please explain to this Yank what the heck is a beaver panel and " swaged panel behind the channel" are. Cheers !!!
Beaver panel I was refering to is the panel below the decklid at the rear. Swaged panel is the panel with the 3 rolled lines in it behind the door. Visible when opened. The aussie bodies never sat down past the chassis rails we had a Spear pressed section in this area instead. So for us it is sort of channelled.
With the doors shut you could still see daylight throough the gap. So weused a piece of 10mm solid square and welded it down the pillar. this had the desired effect and the car looks a lot better from the outside now. Tidied up the floor and bits and started to etch prime as I'm finished each area.
Got the kick panels back from drew a fellow club member tonight and the padded fire wall.. Another bloody lovely piece of work and another piece of the puzzle completed.
More work on the interior of the ol girl. Went around to flames yesterday and swaged up some panels and put her together this morning... Floor in..
