Good work kid... "How many hours you got on that roof?" Don't for get to follow up with a finished Elcamino Video...
Anyone else notice there was less taped off on the roof at the end of the video then in the begining? I would like to know how many hours and rolls of tape. My back hurts just watching this. Mad skills though...
There was 4 hours in masking the roof and the design was straight out of my head. cheers guys for the comments. -Ryan Ford
That design was falling onto that roof in a fashion similar to your avatar. I think 4hrs is pretty damn good time to do something that creative. Kudos dude...
I think that's the trick, isn't it Ryan, to use a really sharp blade, then you don't really need to put any pressure on, just the weight of the blade will do the cutting. Oh... and an amazing video and the makings of a killer El Camino.
Amazing!! Another component of car crafting that takes it's own set of skills. I can bore and hone an engine to fractions of a thousands of an inch but couldn't do that if my life depended on it. I bow to your skill sir. Frank
Jeezus man...are you blind. Hands of a bricklayer....he's no saint. [/QUOTE] no sir, i am not blind. i was refering to how steady and accurate his hands were, not if he just had a fuckin' manicure.
This is the best description I've read related to the work in the video. Great Work Ryan. I do a lot of taping (Masking) in Powder coating, and it can wear you out if you're sitting down..... I can only imagine stooping over the roof of that El Camino..... Looking forward to more pics/vids.
Very cool. Got pics of the finished product? Or is the guy driving around with a bunch of masking tape on his lid? Sam
