2011 Gasser Round Up @ Hot Rod Ranch w/ Muro Bros.

There were some promotors at WCK in Santa Maria. It will be located by the Lompoc airport. There is not enough room for a 1/4 mile strip so it will always be 1/8 mile. There will be other motorsport activities there too - motocross, gocarts.

Unfortunately for us, I believe Bruce is going to the Eaglefield Drags. He is a very cool guy with a couple of very cool 55's.

No, I'd put more motor in it, take some gear out of it, put mufflers on it and drive it. Fifteen years ago, I had "that" car you mention and was towing it up the G****vine to go to Famosa for the reunion. A few hot rods went by me and gave my car the thumbs up. I looked at them, and thought....man, you guys get MY thumbs up. ****, they're driving their hot rods.....that's freakin COOL! It was the best thing that happened to me. When I got home I sold the car, the truck, the trailer, and have been building "drivers" ever since. And I have no regrets. Hell, I'm getting in one of em in about 45 minutes and heading to Ventura for the weekend! Oh, and my altered wheelbase 51 Ford ran hi 11's and I drove it several times, on slicks to Famosa. Hell, I drove it to Paso (250 miles each way)!

Would like to make it with my semi finished 55 g***er but way to much going on right now. But sounds so cool, maybe next year though. Make a cool trip to so-cal from vegas. For motel reservations, Gil suggested the Days Inn in Lompoc. That's where I stayed last year and it's pretty nice. The address is 1122 North H St. & number is (805)735-7744. With AAA discount, room cost is $79.19 for a king bed and $89.09 for two queen beds w/ tax included.
