    I was going to but your Dad called me and told me you were dieting so sorry, "no cookies for you!" :eek:

    Oh yeah, @ 6'3" and 235, dieting is not the answer to fitting in the car. Cutting you off at the knees is.:D

    Well I missed the noon meet & greet as I have been sitting here in the Hospital with my wife since 2:00 am last night.I will let you know what is wrong with her when I know something. Sorry I will not have pictures to show but I hope all had a great time today.And I had made cookies to serve to you Denise made them with my own two hands. Next time Darrell

  4. Man hope all is well. I wanted to go but the "honey do" list is large. Hoping everything is good with you wife.

    Oh my I sure hope everything is going to be ok. I say a prayer for a speedy recovery.
    Er
    I'm sitting in the stands right now, the are cleaning the track. Blue skies and lots of sunshine. I've got a short sleeved t-shirt on. Couldn't ask for nicer weather. The gassers are geeting ready to run.

    Full report later...

    Well it turns out the wife just didn't want me to go to milan so she faked an illness. I'm just kidding they say its kidney stone that she should be able to pass in a few days with drugs to help her. The pain she was in was unreal they gave her morphene. Sorry missed all you today.Someday I will meet this person named Denise.

    What a great event, great track. Great people. We will be back if they'll have us next time.

    Great seeing HLC again and a whole bunch of other HAMBer's who have just been names with no faces.

    AAAHHH. I guess I shouda read this thread last week
    SOOOOOOOOOOO, Ill be there too

    The olds powered dragster was rite over the top. Looked great and ran like hell. I wish Id of stoped by and introduced myself but I had my hands kinda full. Very nice job guys.
    Denise..........I wish Id of heard bout the hamb meeting at your car. It WAS great seein and talkin with you, just wasnt enough time. Next year Im takin some time off at the track instead of runnin my stuff in the ground. Its cheaper and a WHOLE lot more fun. Thank you for stoppin by and making me smile.....your good at that.
    Mattbe.......You and your Dad Gary were awsome. I saw you crew on several different funnycars, run around helping EVERYONE out and still manage to get some kick butt shots of all the cars racing. You guys are as dedacated as anyone on the grounds, Thank you for helping make this whole thing come together and showing it to the world. My cooler will ALWAYS have ice cold ice tee for you and Gary...
    We had a good time racing, finished 3rd in points and sorry the season is done, the winter is way to long. We will return next year and and hopfully do a little better than we did this year. I had a blast to say the least.

    I had a great time at the Nostalgia drags. Dad and I were there both days. On Saturday I was really busy and didn't get past Johns pit. On the last pass of the day the car I was crewing on (Pure Insanity) broke a valve so our weekend of racing was done. I had a little bit more time on Sunday to walk around and look at some cars. I learned alot over the weekend. It was greating meeting you and your dad Tony, you guys are great people and dad and I enjoyed talking to you! It was great seeing you John. Hope your car is ok. Thank you for the Ice Tea and the ride in the golf cart!

    Jim, you and all the ONDR guys were great. You put on a great show and by the looks you got from the crowds....they loved it.
    Funny how a nostiliga event draws out some of the greatest people you will ever meet. Cant wait for next year.......BUT tell winston to hang out, we missed him

  19. Hey Jim;
    We even had fun watching you replace a head gasket saturday night..
    Thanks to all who helped get this event together..
    I have been to "nostalgia" shows at Milan before..Don't recall one that had as many cars..
    Great catching up to a few "Hamber".
    After seeing Tony mark 7.40 on his dragster,I decided to run NO BOX on Sunday..LOL..Think there was only 5 car in Comp. on Sunday and they manage to mess that up..Gave the buy run to the wrong guy...
    Oh well,it happens.
    We stayed over and came home on Monday..

    Who won the Great Lakes Gasser shootout and the series points race?
    I was .008 red first round, didn't think I could fowl a pro tree.

  21. Cooljunk;

    Joe Beausoliel with the white Falcon won the points deal,and the "Budget Bender" Comet won the gasser race with 12;0's all day.

    I should have intro'ed myself. I looked your car over while you were talking to someone else. That is one unique and nice looking car you put together.

    Thank you fogs 58. It was the MOST easy car to whip together ever. All's I did was open old hot rod mags and there it was all over the pages. Just had to pick out what I thought was cool and bolt it together. Everything on that car was in those mags. I even try to drive it like they did. John

  25. Tony;

    Until Saturday,I had never run on a Pro tree,and I foot brake the car. So, I had 2 strikes against me from the get go..

    But being the slower car might have been a 'slight advantage"

    decided to swap classes on Sunday,and you must have packed up & left..
    LOL

    Me too Rick

    I foot brake also,and

    I made one run in Pittsburgh a couple wks ago on a pro tree and then again all day on sat

    Remember the first time I drove to the starting line was the second wk in Aug of this year so I have no tree time...lolol

    I had even called the track 3 days before and was told NO Electronics in Nostalgia Comp

    I would have still come just to race to get seat time and I had a great time with no regrets

    My opinion is if its a nostalgia race there shouldnt be any electronics........

    We where going to run Sun but I was fried from the long day on Sat and Sunday looked to be dragging out so we bolted

    Hope we cross pathes again,

    Tony
