Hey all, I did this for my foot stool today, I haven't really seen anything else like it, but maybe I haven't looked hard enough? Let's hear what you think!
    I know it isn't perfect

  2. A bigger, better pic would help. It looks okay from what I can make out.

  4. Much better... Looks good. I like it.

The new pic allows the detail to be seen.

  5. I've never seen one before, I give it a thumbs up.

Thanks! It's not done yet. I still have to sew a band around it but that will just be plain vinyl.

The stitching looks good... did you use foam back or did you stitch on to the foam?

1/4" sew foam glued to the back of the vinyl, you can sort of see it in this picture..

I usually do the same to cut the costs of getting foam back vinyl ... high five on your stitching though! Looks clean. Much better then what I could do.

We always do it this way
Thanks! I'm in the upholstery business so I'm hoping it looks ok! Even if it's just for me to put my feet on, I want it to look nice

Wow, that is super cool! Well done!

  16. The stool looks fab, as Kevin Lee said, Fat Luckys has used this kind of as a signiture look. His are more of a western pattern as you would see on boots and western gear, the most outstanding I have ever seen! ~sololobo~

It's actually called Bootstitching. My Dad used to do that in the 70's when he did some upholstery work for friends.
