Roadkill, I dunno where you get all the shots of OLD Richmond Virginia at . You need to look me up if you ever visit. I give the "Not on the Chamber Of Commerce tour " of former service stations here . Yes , it's a real tour , takes about two hours . scrubba

    LEE'S GARAGE, 1947.
Built in 1927 as the Arrowhead Highlands Garage. Lee's Garage or Lee's Place became the first mountainstop stopping place on the Rim of the World Drive thanks to 1930's construction of the high-gear road (bypassing Crestline). It was located at todays Cliffhanger Restaurant.

This is Augusta, Maine. Looking down the hill from the fire station. The first building on the left was the victorian rr station destroyed to make a parking lot.. A lot of forward thinking right there! Down town Augusta is a relative ghost town now... the malls a few miles away have left it mostly abandoned except for a few head and skateboard shops

Okay, a quick check SEEMS to indicate Susanville is in south-central Cal, northeast of Chico. But still, any WAG WHEN  the pic was taken? That swing-away windshield is still throwing me. '36 or '37? Truck guys???

Susanville is on Hwy 395 and lies east of Redding, California on the east side of the mountains.

Based upon the horizontal grille bars, I am fairly certain that this is a '38 Humpback. The 36's are pretty rare with production of 150 or so. As stated, Susanville is in Northern CA.

Yes, 38 dodge humpback. I could use those rear fenders for my 36. I have a 36 1 ton panel that I've lowered and installed a 360 ci and 727 and swapped out a 1/2 ton nose. I don't know how many 1 ton trucks were built, but I have never seen another one.

THANKS! on the Dodge '38 humpback. I did not know that the swing-away windshiled was offered that late. But, it DOES make sense!

It looks like a Olds in front of the Buick,it looks like that plant made the A body or at least the BOP versions.

The plant is in SoCal not Detroit, That should help narrow things down!
Also a nice detail shot for restorations.
