Outstanding pics Muttley. One correction though. Kugel's decapitated coupe belongs on the Bonneville car thread. Other than running his '40 coupe at a couple of SCTA 1/2 mile meets, Jerry wasn't a drag racer. That shot was taken on the outskirts of Wendover.

This was the very same Gary Burgin red roadster seen above it in the original posting.

 

I do not believe that is correct, it was Gary Denshams' before Ben Buchanan (Gary's brother in law at the time) started campaigning it.

 

Taken after Densham put the 426 in it.

 

I will concede that you maybe right. Both Densham and Buchannon's car feature the same type of front wheels and a grill, Burgin's didnt feature a grill. And his being Densham's brother in law adds credibility to your claim. Both roadsters were built by Plueger I think. C ya.
