Chevy II's

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Shawn F., Sep 13, 2009.

  1. I think I've seen wheels like this being made now... Would this style be correct for a 60's Chevy II/Nova or would they have only been used for FED's and floppers?

I am looking for a clean 4 door for my wife. We actually prefer a 4dr . . .but all the nice ones I come across . . . the owners look at the coupe prices out there and think they really have something special. . . patience will turn one up eventually.

He put a L88 Big Block in it?
He had to have cut it up good in the shock tower area to make it fit.

I'd love to have it today!

  19. Love it. When I was 15 I would say wouldn't it be crazy if someone put a bigblock in one of these light cars. :)

Can't take all the credit there. I did the mechanical/electrical. A friend of mine in town George Wills (Auto Body) did the incredible job of rebuilding the body which turned out needing to go deeper than originally thought and applying the base coat/clear coat 2005 Toyota Tacoma Speedway Blue. i was the willing sidekick.

When I bought the car in 2000, it looked pretty good from the outside. I drove it as is about three years, croaked the original 6 banger and decided to do a Heidts Front clip and 383 stroked Vortec 2nd Gen SBC. What I found was the body was eating itself up from the inside out and the deeper we got, the worse it looked so the decision was made to take it all the way down to the outer wheelhouses.

Anyone redoing on of these. Take a body pick or a screw driver to the trunk floor pan and you will probably see that it will be the first thing you need to replace.

I need to replace the windshield rubber on my Nova. I bought a new one when I rebuilt the car and it fit for shit so I cleaned up to original and reinstalled. Now it is so dried out it leaks.

Anyone installed a new one lately and how did it fit at the top corners? Who is the manufacturer?

    ...... and without 'spray' ?
Did you have to install a 'in-tank' fuel pump or run an external Walboro type?
