Hudson's are way cool, the gay reference is not a very politically correct attitude. Show some class folks. Don't mean to be a jerk but this is not consistant with todays standards, hope I haven't stepped on anybodys toes. H.A.M.B ers are not hicks. O.K., kick my ass. When an influential orginazation such as the N.B.A. is making a commercial about this issue it is time to take notice. ~sololobo~

  8. Here are a few I have owned since 2000: First is a 1956 Super Wasp with the 202 w/3-spd and OD. It was a great driver!

Here is my first Hudson, a 1950 Pacemaker coupe. It had a 232, and was about to get a 262, when it was destroyed in the May 2003 tornado.

I had a pair of Twinkies, a '52 and '53 Hornet, each the same color, and each with a 308 and Twin-H. This one flew approximately 500 feet through the air, landing on its wheels and rolling another 125 feet in a reverse J-turn, ending up in my pasture in the same tornado. Both cars went to Arkansas later on.

My second Hudson - a '50 Commodore 6. It was untouched in the tornado, go figure! Now in Tulsa.

Below is my 1937 Terraplane. Bought in May 2004 as a rolling, painted car with the engine in place, I finished the car out in 2008. Traded it off in 2010. Now in St Louis.

And lastly, my current Hudson, a 1947 Super Six. Owned since July 2011. One day, will have a 440 auto in it!

These are the start of my next project
A pair of 51s. Both Pacemakers. I stumbled across 5 Stepdowns in the past 2 months, but not a single Hornet or even a Wasp.

One has a 318 poly hacked into it and the other a stock 232.

  10. Here is my '53 twin H hornet with a 4 speed Hydromatic, 75000 original miles, has been in my family for 40 years.

This was one of four local cop cars. The cops loved them. The bad guys hated to get into a chase. These had the Twin Hornet package.

The 49 SuperSix we sold, but really enjoyed driving it.

The 47 Com coupe is still nice but needs paint, pic at a car show last summer.
I tried, have to learn how to post the pics. Later.

No offense to any of the other cars or car owners but your 30 super 8 is the best looking Hudson on the whole thread. IMHO Thanks for sharing it.

  16. Norm, that's a 48-50 Hudson...no hornets until 51, and no Twin H in 48-50, that was an option that first appeared in November 51. FYI.

Thanks brother! I'll pass that on to the old man. I'm sure he'll be happy to hear that people still appreciate the old girl. Can you believe he still drives that thing at 70 MPH on wood spokes wrapped with bias plies with mech. brakes?

When it comes time for the next project, If I see a step down Hudson next to a 49-51 Merc, same price, same condition- the Merc is still for sale.

In need of a rear end assy. Later (Dana44) would do nicely. Prefer 3.78 Hydromatic gears.
