Roll down the windows, real ****in helpful after the twentieth reply. Real hotrodders rip out the A/C & use 4/60. I didn't know real hot rods had four doors! Guess it has to be hot and uncomfortable to be a hotrod, or else it isn't "hot".
I have a small unit from Hot Rod Air mounted under the seat in my 41 pickup, blows out through the seat riser.
What about electric a/c, someone told me that a Toyota Prius has it. I run my 39' w/o a hood, so I don't like a/c stuff in the engine compartment. I may look into it. I talked to a friend last week that told me she has a/c in her seats! (11' Ford Taurus)
We hashed out the electric A/C concept a few years ago, was pretty much deemed unfeasable. Maybe something has changed?
I am still researching it. I understand that it pulls a lot of amps but I haven't been able to verify it yet.
Wow, hundreds of Nova SureFits sold and you're the only one that can't get it in? You bought the wrong kit or didn't read the installation manual. VA used at least four different Novas to engineer that application to ***ure that there were no manufacturing variances on '66-'67 models. You should have called the tech line before you "beat the hell" out of your car.
My 33 Plymouth coupe was pretty cramped and I used a Vintage unit they used to make called a 'Short Pac". They now have a new small unit but not sure what its called. Check their catalog.
