Here's mine. Currently getting a polished Fenton 2x2 intake and some finned heads for the flatty. It will get lower, I've just started....

Tim, your car looks great. I can't get enough of that thing.

Hey Alex! No, I haven't put in the axle yet. I painted it, and if I can get the motor work done this week I'll put the axle in this weekend. With any luck I can give this car the "Labold stance"!!!

That's a good looking car, are you going to do anything to the rear?

Ya, I put a Posies superslider spring in the rear, but I will be taking 4-5 leafs out of the spring. I'm doing the same things Labold did to his, but I have different tires.

Everyone thinks your crazy to take 5 leafs out of a new Posie spring but it works. It still rides good too.

Labold: Killer stance! Is that a channel job, or just the spring removal?

Big Mac: I really dig that paint job, what is it?

Both of you: are either of you running 16 inch wheels?

I really dig these cars low, and I want mine to be low, but mostly level. I also want to try to run the original 16" steelies that were on the car, but I don't want fender troubles... any advice?

    Thanks guys!

I am running the stock 16 inchers on mine. I had to roll in about an 8 inch section of the front fender lip from where the front tires rub (only if you turn). The car is like turning a battle ship around in tight spots. Once you learn how to drive it, you can manuever it around without any problems; so far.
Mine isn't channeled. It has the basic 4" drop axle with modified Posie Super Slides (springs removed) etc. I didn't even split the wishbone.
All in all, I lowered the front 11" and the rear 8" from the nose bleed high stance I started with.
I've had more fun working on and driving this old rickety Ford than any car I've owned in a long time.
You've got tons of tech support here on the HAMB, don't hesitate to ask if you have questions or get stumped.

Holy thread revival! Just got this one out of dry storage since '64. Will leave it mostly as-is, with a '49 Merc flattie, and will lower it some. Should be running soon...
