Custom frame thread, pics please!

    Can we start a custom frame thread, frame pics and close up on special thing you have fabrikated.
    Z frames/ rolling bones style/ old style frames/ up side down frames/ mega z frames and all other typs of frames.
     
  2. Nothing to out of the ordinary but I'll get your thread started. Basic Model A perimiter frame that I made all the crossmembers for . Pretty straightforward stuff but I'm proud of it. I almost hated to put the body and fenders on...:eek:

    2x3 tubing, cut and welded at the front to duplicate a stock "A"frame. Triangulated 4 link, 4" dropped axle, 4 " Z at the front, and a 8" Z in the rear,etc...................................
    This is under a 29 2 door sedan,that is now in New Jersey.

    2x4 and 2x5 box tubing with z'd front and rear. original a front cross member, 2x2 rear cross member. 1x2 bracing.

    Here's the frame for my deuce. It's from Carl Fjastad at the Deuce Frame Co. We stretched the wheelbase to 108" , pinched the front and flattened the front x-member along with rounding the profile to match the grill shell. The center x-member is fairly standard with the exception of a removable rear trans mount . In the rear we removed the frame ends and raised the rear x-member 2" so I could use a longer shockabsorber. The car is three years old and has about 13K miles and rides very well.

    Philly thats chassi its so right, im planing my -32 frame and i want something like that.
    Brent I like the TT frame as well.( i have looked at your build and that inspired me to put model a axels and motor on my -22 T tub)
