Just got back from the Pileup and in the process of uploading pics. Here is a little teaser to get you all started..... For the whole site, go to.... http://s1086.photobucket.com/albums/j444/hunnertcar10/?start=all Keep checking back, it's gonna take a while to upload 200 plus pics. Enjoy.
No drama that we noticed, course we aren't going to the after party. We just went to enjoy the cars more than anything. Personal observation, this is the first (and I guess the last) Pileup I have been too. Always wanted to go but life just got in the way. My middle son and I made sure we made this one but came away slightly disappointed. Not totally, but we have been to shows a lot of places and we were really glad we only had to drive 50 miles to get to this one. It is a casual atmosphere, but almost too casual in the setup. We found ourselves doubling back and walking in circles to see cars we missed. After 5 hours of walking over rough ground, we were whipped. Anyway, I continue to upload my pics for those members who couldn't make the trek. These will by no means be a comprehensive listing of all cars there, but rather I hope a collection that represents the show as a whole. Or at least what caught my eye.
Thanks, posting link to photobucket account again.... http://s1086.photobucket.com/albums/j444/hunnertcar10/?start=all
It seems that some were recreating a little too much last night.... A very nice combo sprocket and disc brake....
We saw something that most people will never see in person in their lives. A lucky young enthusiast brought his #48 of only 50 ever made TUCKER to the show....
Last for the show tonight. I'm half way thru the uploads. Hope you are enjoying them, I'll load the rest when I have time....
WOW, 1 old mini that was done well and actually blended in with the other killer rides and you need to throw that comment out ......................
So what you're saying is we should have ended the show when we let the first Fiat, Triumph, BSA or Anglea in years ago?
I totally agree with outcast13. Cool is cool, weather it's USA iron or not if you turn your nose up at other THAN USA iron it's YOUR loss. I love ANYTHING on wheels if it's done right. Case in point, there was a cool T pickup engineered with "ricer" motivation, but his backyard engineering was great....
I dont know how I missed the Tucker, I covered the place several times. He must of came in late after I was watching the bands. Killer show and perfect weather! Shame it was the last, I hope somebody else picks this show up and runs with it. They said there was about 1200 cars. Thanks for the pics!
You were only a couple O Hunnert feet from it. it was just on the other side of the permanent shitters from the band stage.
