I thought about putting a different engine in it.....until i found out how much it ruins the value....to make antique boats worth anything its gotta be stock...My restorer told me hed change whatever i wanted but if i changed the engine it drops value 40% right off the back....he had a boat there that restored it would be worth $160,000 and without the original engine in it he was struggling to get $75,000 for it and its been sitting at his shop for sale for 5 years....Original always sells
Hey there. I have just joined the H.A.M.B and noticed your Chris Craft and I was wondering how the reto is progressing. it seems that we are restoring almost identical boats. Mine is number 39 of 436 built and I am doing the bottom frames at the moment. Looking forward to your news. Cheers.
Only two good things about a boat, the day you buy it and then the day you sell it. B. Bring O. Over A. Another T. Thousand But on another note that is one great looking boat thought you may like this link http://www.fiberglassics.com/
Cool project and one of the best looking Chris Crafts. Any update on the restoration job? I have a very similar project and am interested in comparing notes. Cheers
