The following is a quote from a thread in the trifive site:

"Canadian built cars had more trim from the factory than their US counterparts, this site might help :

    http://www.cl***icbowtie.com/1955-19...nformation.htm

quote from site above "All Canadian 1955 150 models came with side trim, American models had none."
    "

Pretty sure it's a fake, probably made by some French Canadian huckster out of paper-mâché.

I just found out it's a very rare Henway edition that was only sold in Canada. You can tell by the air freshener hanging in the car.

The Chevys may have been available like the Fords were, with the sealed in rear side windows, one sunvisor,no arm rests and no heater. They were called business sedans. I had one of each of the Fords many years ago and I think you could get Chevys either way also.

    US 150 sedans could be had as a 3 p***enger, or 6 p***enger.
3 would be the utility sedan, or business coupe with no back seat and fixed rear windows
6 would be a regular 2 door sedan with roll up rear windows and a back seat

we had 10 or so 55 150 2door sedans in the yard over the years as I remember we never did get a utility sedan in, they were all roll up window /rear seat cars

****BTW look at the production #'s of the utility sedans.... only 11thousand... wonder how many are actually left after stock cars and crushers......
66 thousand 150 2 door sedans.. pretty common compared to the utility.

    Now that is re***uring, thanks.
How about the radio do you think it may have been a dealer install? It doesn't really fit that well because of the rolled bottom and all it says on it is ALL SATE.

never seen a radio like that, however you should have been able to order any 55 chevy radio
available with your car....most likely since that is some sort of aftermarket radio your car came with the delete plate. maybe the dealer did install it, and it was just something they had laying around....
