Our cars at Bonniville

I feel pretty fortunate to live close to the salt flats. My buddies and me have gone every year since 2004. What a party. We make plans well in advance to go. Thought I'd share pictures of our cars on the salt. (mine is the 46 ponti)

 

Very cool. This year was my first and I already want to go back.

 

You've been there 7 times, live 100 miles away yet don't know how it's spelled???

As in Bonniville, KY, true place off I65 but they don't have "Salt".

Come out to the World of Speed next September. It is an outstanding event.

 

Do the hotels gouge you during the World of Speed or are their rates normal?

 

Like the cars, and the T but it does look like it's in need of a good "spraying" for spiders!

 

Normal rates, from what I have been told.

 

WoS rates are much better than SpeedWeek

 

Thanks for the info about the rates. This year was the "bucket list" visit to Speedweek for me and 3 other high school mates. We showed up early on Wednesday nite and our rate was $42. Thursday night was $86, if I remember right. Then we came into the "package prices" and it was $200 per night. Now, let me say this, we all loved it and I think everyone thinks the experience was worth every penny. Now that we might want to become regulars, it would be nice to save a few sheckles to do it. So, please don't interpret that I was bitching about the high costs associated with Speedweek to get our indoctrination.

 

Thought I'd revive this thread just so we can get fired up for this years Salt Flats...

 

i will be there. first time. we will be camping out of a roadster after 820 miles.
