    1964 catalina 1st pic being the owner.jpg

So exactly a year after I sold my 52 two door chevy..... I found this bad boy!!! The interior is clean!!! and the body is in good shape except for one dent that will be fixed... The guys I got it from inherited the car from his mom that passed away... I got the car for a screaming deal!! The last time the car had been driven was 1994..... and it had been sitting in the garage. It is a ventura package. I am going to clean it tomorrow and post more pics!!!

    plans:
do a metal flaked light blue roof
debating on wide whites?? supremes with dime walls??? or radir wheels???
and also set this puppy closer to the ground!!!
    bellflower exhaust

let me know what you guys think!

Looks like you scored big time. Not so sure about the wide whites, but if you get a side picture of it and post it on the Photoshop thread I'm sure someone can put the colors on it.
I had a '66 Catalina many years ago. 389, three on the tree, faded paint, rusty etc but that 389 hummed like a Swiss watch, wish I still had it.

Those are one of the prettiest Pontiacs ever built. I had a 63 Bonneville convertible, 389 with a 421 cam and 64 GTO tripower setup, and 3 speed stick. It surprised many 327s and a few vettes.

As much as I like wide whites I think they belong to another era, but the Supremes or Radirs with skinny whites would be very cool.

    Nice score.

60's drag car or mild custom. You can't go wrong with That car. I vote Super Duty just because I get to say DUTY:D. Doesn't take much to amuze a Ford guy!

    Nice score!!

My mind's eye sees a dropped nose, wider rubber on chrome reverse, no trim and covered in a very deep blue metal flake.

Handsome car...61-66 Ponchos are timeless style and design. Do what YOU think looks best...although wide whites are WAY WRONG for that year of car...unless you're going to wear a fedora, a black shirt, pink tie, white belt and white buck shoes....narrow whites, or blackwalls with chrome reverse...oops, I'm making all kinds of suggestions after telling you do to it YOUR way....sorry

One of my favorite '60's cars !!! Congratulations.

  12. I'm with bob on that one. Maybe some double pinned whites and some supremes. Or make it a street racer drag car type car. My grandpa had a '61 and a '64 while going through high school...I'd love to build a remake of his car someday.

i love the car!!!like most have said, wide whites are from a different era.now i know its your ride but if i had one like it i would put cragar ss and redline firestones, chrome tip turndowns out the rear and paint that bugger some kinda of cherry black(top and bottom)shine up the chrome and go cruisin.kinda like a early musclecar look(can i say that on here lol).you done good on that score!! why cant i ever find something i dont have to build before it will even move?lol good luck with it and keep us posted.

You have a great start, you can do it any way you want it. If it were mine I would buff it out (no new paint), lower it a bit and change the wheels and tires.

Yeah, me too. Build it like an Arnie Beswick style race car. Course, it'd have to get changed over to a 4 speed. :D:D:D Unless, it already has one.:cool::cool:
