Wow, a ton of cool pix yesterday, everybody! WELCOME new posters, too! :D

I kept coming back to this car, though. I decided not to look it up, just to

make things interesting. I'm thinking this is, maybe the LAST LaFayette?
    Fire away! :p

Without photography, the Great Depression would probably
have seemed little more than a set of statistics.

Lewis W. Hine photographed this man on the docks, New York, 1935.

Canada and Australia were impacted about on par with
the United States during the depression. Here, about
    1930, Toronto's Single Men's Unemployed Association
march to put their message across. Pic thanks to the
    Library and Archives of Canada.

Throwback:eek:: Oxen pull a "Bennett Buggy" near Crescent Lake, Saskatchewan,
1933. In the U.S., tongue-in-cheek citizens called these once gasoline-powered
vehicles Hoover Wagons. Pic thanks to storybrookeripples.

    Hey Doc,..

Here are a couple just for you,.. Reconnoitering the Au-Shau Valley, The teams were hearing Tigers from time to time,... This bad boy killed and ate most of a young Marine, What was found of his body the next morning was stashed by the Bengal Tiger for lunch,..
What was left of Bob was pulled up in a poncho liner,.. When the extraction chopper came, the Tiger was behind the team, stalking,.. the Door Gunner motioned for the team to hit the deck... . What you see are the effects of a M-2 door gun. . (just another walk in the park !)

And yes,.... Most of him was in turn, eaten by the teams.

HarmsWay, NO doubt, that gets my vote for one of the best true
stories presented on this great thread.:cool::cool: (And BTW, the Tigers
didn't do too well against the Rangers HERE last night, either! :D)

Oh, BTW, by '70 were the M-2s still bungee mounted, or had they started mounting them on pylons by then? Just curious. I think they used .32-cal ammo, right?
