OT Stuff to do in socal this weekend?

Im driving up tonight, and the only real plans i have so far are for Sunday going to el mirage and watching some land speed racing.

Is there anything cool going on friday/saturday. Car shows, cruise ins, concerts, or maybe someone has a cool shop i could stop by and check out? Anything to do really with cars, music, and hopefully some drinking.

To get the full effect of El Mirage you need to stay out on the lakebed sat night? If you drink enough the dirt is pretty comfortable. Look for the Lance-Speed banner as well as the HAMB banner in my pits and stop in and say hey.

Im camping out everynight somewhere screw paying for a hotel room, ive got a truck, its got a "bed" and its free to sleep in

 

You could always make the trip to Bakersfield (actually Fomosa drag strip just north of town) for the Hotrod Reunion. Drags, car show, swap meet and fun!
