THE NUCLEUS OF THE IDEA for Posies "DRIVEN DIRTY TOUR" began at SEMA in 2005. Since that time it's become a legendary event that leaves it's homebase in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, and heads to Las Vegas every year with KEN "Posies" FENICAL, himself, leading the pack of drivers for a few days of fun, trailblazing, and, pure "hot rodding" at its finest level. The 2011 DDT is set and it begins at Posie's tomorrow (October, 22nd) ends up in Vegas October 30th...but there's a lot of Crusin' between those two points and they could be coming through your area this year ! So, okay, I wanted to know how this whole thing started and Ken filled me in totally & completely. Ken not only knows his cars, works on his rides, and drives 'em...but he is an EXCELLENT story teller ! Here's the link to the story and I wanted to share with all of you here at the H.A.M.B.: http://www.legends.thewwbc.net/gpage71.html Jonnie King www.legends.thewwbc.net
Just sorry I can't make it this year. I've had a ball on all the ones I've been on. Posie is a hoot and there are always a bunch of cool guys and gals on the tour. Great stops along the way, swell hotels, lots of laugh's and the food grazing across the country is to die for. I was told and got to sample the "best shrimp ****tail" in of all places, Kingman, AZ. Thats Posie !

Don't have that info, but Ken plans these things out ahead of time...and sometime they're scheduled "ETA times" are based on traffic & weather. And, often, the Stops are at friends of his throughout the country. If I find out more I'll Post the info. Thanks for checking-it out. Jonnie
Sorry, I've been dealing with a family emergency and just got back Online for a few minutes now, so I didn't see your Post before. I honestly don't know the details on any of the Stops (see Info on Post above.). But, I know that they usually hit a Rod Shop or two in every city...some are personal friends of Posie. ALL I can say is WHEREVER you are, if your city is on the list keep your eyes peeled and you may see 'em somewhere along the Highway...if you don't seem 'em anywhere else ! Jonnie
Sorry, been dealing with a number of problems here (see above Post), but last night I did have a small amount of time to do a little detective work and did find Posie and the Tour. They were somewhere in the So. County area at a friend's of Ken's...I found 'em when I saw the Rods lined up at a distance. Ya couldn't miss 'em at that point. Posie, Scott Whitaker (Driving the DYNASPORT shown here), and an intrepid crew of Tour guys were on the 2nd day of the Tour, and had gotten in from Indy late Sun. Aft. They are in the Grandview, MO area today & Tues. and will be making a stop at Darryl Starbird's National Rod & Custom Car Museum in Oklahoma...probably on Tues. If you're in that area of Oklahoma...about 30-35 Miles out of Joplin, MO. you might run into them there. You can check with the Museum to find out a timeframe. Also, at the St.L. location ran into old friends Kurt McCormick, as well as Dave Conrad. Dave did much resto work on many of Kurt's Barris cars. He's an excellent bodyman & painter, and very modest about his talents. Dave has a good collection of Rods in his own stable. That's all of the Info I have at this time...but, if you chart various areas of the map that plots the DDT you may see them coming through your town...if you do, make sure you check 'em out. They are a GREAT bunch of ******** Rodders ! http://www.legends.thewwbc.net/gpage71.html Jonnie
