  1. This was the "Bradbury Mansion", c. 1927 Los Angeles, CA. Later became home to "Hal Roach Studios". No idea if it's still there.

  2. Some more Bette Davis.:D Check out the one with her daughter, there was beauty in that gene pool.

That is correct. It was built in 1887 and was located at 147 N. Hill St., in Downtown L.A. There are conflicting dates regarding its demolition ranging from 1929 to the fifties to the later Bunker Hill renovation project. I am guessing that the fifties is probably correct. Someone else may have better info on that.

In August, Stretch of the online magazine, Nostalgia on Wheels, posted this,
probably unique, photo of Waco Auto Wrecking Co. that he'd come across at
a flea market. Spawns more questions than it answers! For one thing, what
was this building in the first place? Maybe a pretty fancy horse stable? That
COULD be a hay mow up there. Also the eye is drawn to the cars and parts
they are "working" on. IDs, anybody? And, WHICH  Waco? Texas?

I never get tired of studying the lines of the Graham Spirit of Motion, introduced in 1938. They were sort of the Edsel of their day: People either LOVED them or DETESTED them! :D Photos thanks to the New York Public Library.

Here's a keen pic from the New York Public Library,
and I WISH IT WERE BIGGER so we could see details! :(
The photo is practically an historical artifact! The model
seems SIMILAR to the Hudson in the previous post. Any
    help, folks???

OK, dug a little. The Six-54 Series went from 1912 through 1915 and was a forerunner to the first Super Six. So, that narrows down the Hudson owned by Chief Parsons Montanic there.

Back in 89 I visited a old very small town Ford dealer like this for a quote on a price on a loaded F150 that was lower then any of the large town dealers near me,the salesman who was most likely the owner told me something that almost got me thrown out of the other dealers I visited afterwards. I now wish I would have bought it from that dealer but bought a 2 year old loaded 87 F150 with low miles, the dealerships now look and feel like they belong at the mall.

Playing with our new toys we got for Christmas 1952. My brother and I do still have the Lionel train set. Sure wish we still had the other toys.

Here's a photo of my Grandpa's 1937 Ford. Taken in the mid '40's, that's my Mom in the middle and Grandpa is the tall guy in the background. I can remember riding in it when I was a kid in the '50's.

    Last one for tonight.

I found it in an old album my grandparents had. What kind of car is this with wire wheels...Model T?

It appears to be a T, but I have not seen one with wheels like that. Nice photos, but please be mindful of the "no politics" rule regarding the Carter/Reagan sig line :)

All these pics were found going through old albums from both sides of my family.

Maybe this signature will work better.

Outstanding photo South paw! Thanks to Woody1946 for the enlargement. Looks like a bunch of hot rodders. Is it Freeport Maine? Love all the signage and check out all the oil cans in the window!
