    I worked at Nalley Chevrolet in the late sixties while T.C. Hunt was working there and running the NASCAR Grand American series (Mustangs-Camaros & etc). I wasn't aware of the sponsorship back in the '50s.

    they ran the 6 lug wheels, hubs and axles from the chevy 1/2 ton pick up

    We just got that car along with Jack Smith's original 1960 Pontiac at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame and Museum where I work. Both the black-widow and the Pontiac are good looking cars. I'll post pics of them later.

    I remember Roger driving this car in a USAC stock car race on the road course at IRP.

    Notice that the Studebaker keeping up with traffic is a Four-Door!
    The OHV V-8 they introduced in 1951 was quite successful in racing,
    but Hudson was a strong contender in NASCAR of that time:

    Hard to tell at that angle, but that looks like it could be one of my prints leaning against the front bumper of the 55 Chrysler?!

    That looks familiar - I was at Hilton Head that same year - seen that car a few times.

    nice looking repro, all right - always liked those Smokey cars w/ the black and gold . love that line about real race cars having paint vs. vinyl.
