One straight pipe and one glasspack?, on a 6 cyl?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by gasser52, Mar 13, 2007.

  1. Straight pipes on a 6, awful. Just don't. Mufflers give us infinite possibilities to create an engine note that sounds great.

I have a 38 pontiac running 6 straight pipes, it sounds really good. quite when cruising and at idle, loud when accelerating, with my cam it sounds bomberish when you let off the pedal.

  3. A cam makes a huge difference in sound for sure, in a good way.

    On a Mustang?

I didn't think girls liked loud exhaust on their cars.

ok. posting on an old thread, but guys that run this set up, gl*** pack towards the engine or closer to the end of the pipe? just curios. never heard of this, but i would have to agree straight pipes are a little much and 2 gl*** packs make it sound like its parting in a paper bag.
