Roy, your car looks way better in person, the the magazine article. Great job getting to the semi finals, too.
Your were right when you said, "This old man, loves to slam some gears"
    Great car, again,
    Eric

The picture I posted are the Crites lift bars.Did he make them wrong, with the cradle inverted?Or are they two piece, cradle and bars?

Ken;Thanks for posting the videos!!My old Comet sounds and runs pretty good for using an old truck engine!!! So much for trying to calm it down!! Three pedal cars ROCK!!!! It sounds like you guys got home just in time!! Steve, they just have the crossmember mocked up upside down for the photo. ROY.

Got to hang out with Gas Ronda, Hubert Platt, Butch Leal, Ed terry, Earl Wade, all weeked.

Ol' Hubert didn't have any clear "cough syrup" with him did he. Great for medicinal purposes.

    "What are "lift bars"?"

Woops, I've been off here a couple of days and it seems that they have been explained pretty well so far. But here are a few photos. Nicholson before altering the wheel base, the Nicholson restoration, a set of homemade lift bars and an original article showing an early T-Bolt (early enough to have a clover leaf hood).

Does anybody know what Motorcraft battery replaces the old Autolite battery that was used on the A/FX Comets?

Thanks for posting! Looks like a good time was had by all. I hate that red bulb too. Nothing worse than giving the win away to the guy next to you. Well, almost nothing! It sucks when stuff breaks.

Thanks everyone. Those helmet vids are a little like the Blair witch project. Hopefully no one got car sick. It did let me know some tach and oil pressure info I was looking for, Hard to glance down when your trying to win. I have some walk around stuff and a couple other AFX Vids on my You Tube Channel if anyone wants to check them out.

Did try and find some vintage Comet A/FX Photos out there but they were a little light on photo venders. And they mostly had Front enginge dragster stuff. Did get the Contact info of the gentleman that owns the Yankee - Lincoln Mercury A/FX Comet up in Seattle. I'm going to call him and see if we can get some more pics of that one.

All I know is those guys in the south have Corrupted Eddie and I.That other Hot Rod Reunion Had some Questionable Old Time Drag Racers . Ha Ha

    Hayden Proffit and Gas Ronda.

Hoping I get to meet Hayden down in Texas this winter when I go Down there and help bring Erics Engine back to get that R code Cammer powered Galaxie back on the road.

Still need to meet Hayden Proffit, Fast Eddie Shartman and Arnie Beswick Original 65 Drivers. Anybody know anything about George Deleorean, is he still with us.

Ken;the videos are AWESOME,especially the ones with the blue 65!! I wish we could all get together more often!!! You and the rest of the Colorado Gang are a good group, well,I'm not too sure about Fast Eddie,I think he corrupted a few of the West Coast crew!!!!! Your 64 Comet is just plain BITCHIN!!!!!! Todd's 65 went 9.61 after two days of chasing a tuning issue, turned out to be a plugged fuel filter!! That 65 is one BADD Comet,500+ inches of FE engine, inject on alcohol!!!! ROY
