hey sorry about the first intro as you can tell i'm new i'm 12 years old my name is Jarrett and ever since I first saw a hot rod I fell in love. my grandpa is the one who got me really into them he has... to many cars to count! But on my 9th birthday my grandpa showed me a pinstriper (can't remember who) and thats when i wanted to start pinstriping. I started pinstriping this year (not pro at it) just barley pinstriped my dad's '89 chev's emblem. I know my grandpa said not to say this but I like any hotrod or ratrod i'm a HUGE dodge fan I love any diesel pickup by dodge (chevy, ford, and gmc it matters on the year) please don't call me out for saying that but hot rods are my life. i want to talk my grandpa into building his '29 dodge back up and to put a hemi in it. I would like to help rebuild my grandma's '69 chevelle ss and get it running for her. but thats my story thanks and remember no dirty comments
thanks every one especially from my grandpa and farmer12 i always thought it would be cool. spike57 ya he is very cool! and I forgot my grandpa is getting an aircompresser running for me so I can start painting and airbrushing things. any tips? if you know of any videos to show me how then email me at cumminsdaley@hotmail.com or just send me a message thanks
Welcome from Milwaukee buddy! When stripping use Windex to clean the surface. Wipe clean slowly to get rid of any static, it will pull the paint right off your brush, and thats never a good time.
Welcome from Union Pier, MI. young man. Keep hanging around your grand dad, he sounds like my kind of guy. Remember when you're not using your brush's soak them with oil, I have some that are over 25 years old.
Kinda makes ya wanna run out to the garage an put some playing cards in the spokes of your bike dont it.
Why'd you take them out?!? I ruined a perfectly good Reggie Jackson card that way. Welcome aboard and practice, practice, practice!
Hey Jarred, Welcome to the Forums! I hope your grandpa builds that dodge with a hemi in it... ..What are you planing on building? -A 31 Ford with a Flathead V8 ?? or maybe a '36 Zephyr with a V12??? Are you gonna build in the style of the original Hotrods?? or ???? (btw, better not to mention too many chevelles and ratrods as that stuff doesn't fly to well around here). .... moe .
Add another WELCOME. Jarrett, the best advice I can offer is for you to soak up ewvery bit of knowledge that you can from everyone. Some will be bogus, some right on the money. You will sort out the nonsense from true as time passes. Become a sponge. Soak it all up, learn and share. No matter what you end up doiing in life, this hot rod...custom car....thing is therapy!!
