I thought it was time to update this thread because as of now the car is finished!

Well, I say finished but they never really are.

I haven't updated this thread in so long I'll give a brief run down of whats been happening.

Back to the start of may it was the first Flathead Hillclimb meet of the year at Shelsley Walsh. My first time there with it being the second or third time for the Flathead cl***.
Enjoyable as the racing aways is, the track is a real power blast which is not really suited to my stock 221 with cronic valve bounce as the screaming up the long straights in 2nd gear proved.

A week after Shelsey I was off round Europe. This involved covering 7 countries in 7 days including the Nurburgring and the Swiss Alps racking up 2000 miles in the process.

Back from Europe it was off to the Nostralgia Drags. I managed to clock off a best of 18.3@73mph. I didn't think that was too bad for the little boat anchor still attached to the boat!

I also got to race my 18 y/o younger sister in our dad's A coupe which was at one time my first car. Hows that for keeping it in the family!

I felt a change was due so it was time to finally finish the skirts off which had sat unfinished since the car had been on the road.
Skirts finished, original flipper hubcaps back on the front and change of location for the number plate I now had an Early Custom.

It was now time for the second Hillclimb meet of the year at Prescott. My second time there and an enjoyable track for me I was looking to improve on last years times. With a much more together car with added improvements like the Anti-roll bar I managed to knock 2.5 seconds of my personel best from last year.

Finally, the reason for saying the car is finished is a got the interior I'd waited so long for.
The colour hasn't photographed well. Its neither that red or that orange (!) but its exactly what I wanted and Rich the trimmer has done an amazing job with it.

PERFECTION!!!!!!!! Dude you really have done this car justice and I can honestly say it's one of my favorites ever. Beautiful!!!!

QUESTION: Any way you could measure your bottom seat from bottom of cushion to top. I used a '37 seat on a '36 base and I'm really fighting for room in the car with the steering wheel and such. Just need a reference to where I SHOULD be. Thanks and great work man.
