My cars too...
 I grew up in southern California in the 1960s. I got my license at 16 (no driver's ed). My first car was a 1955 Ford Crown Victoria, with a worn out 272. I inherited it from my folks when i turned 16. It burned a quart of oil a a day. Thank goodness for World Gas station and paraffin based "reclaimed motor oil". I eventually sold it to a friend for $50.00.
At 17, I then bought a 50 Ford woody, minus engine, parked at an abandoned gas station in Sun Valley, near the railroad tracks and San Fernando rd. The guy who owned it was a mechanic living in some cheap apartments. He said he would put a engine in it for $25.00 if I found the engine. I went to my favorite junk yard, Alex Auto Wrecking, near Penrose and Glenoaks in Sun Valley. Back in those days, there was several acres of wrecking yards owned by African Americans in that one area. It was great place to go junk yarding, because they let you climb over all their stuff and they had great prices for a 16 year old kid. Alex had a stack of flathead engines. Back then, their value was scrap. I picked out one, and Alex deposited it in the trunk of my 55 Crown Vic. I dropped it off with the guy who sold me the car. Two weeks later, the engine was installed in the woody, but he was no place to be found. I called a tow truck and had them tow the car to my house. With the help of my auto shop buddies, I managed to connect everything back up, and I drove that for a few years. That engine smoked too .
Next was a 1957 Nomad. I was waiting at a red light at the corner of Penerose and Glenoaks in Sun Valley, CA, when Mr. Boxley from Boxley Auto Wrecking drove past with a red 57 Nomad on his hook. (Mr. Boxley was another African American yard owner from the same area of Sun Valley). When the light turned green, I peeled out and followed him back to his year. He wanted $100.00 for the car, no pink slip. Some landlord in South Pasadena had called him to come get this car that some previous renters had abandoned. My boss at the gas station where I worked paid for the car, and I had my first Nomad.
Next come the 1950 Merc Woody. This was another junk yard find. Some lady just drove it in to Alex Auto Wrecking because it overheated too much. It had an Earl Scheib British Racing green paint job, and it was complete. I got that one for $50.00 or $75. I don't remember which. I had that one towed to the gas station too. By the time I joined the Navy in 1969, I had sold them all. Who knew?
Fast forward to 1978. My 1970 Torino was back ended while parked, and the insurance company paid me off. I traded that car to Mr. Boxley (remember him?) and $300.00 for a 1957 210 hardtop, that was parked in the back of his yard. The only things missing was the gas tank and radiator. Mr. Boxley also let me take EVERYTHING I could find for a 57 Chevy. I snagged a spare hood, trunk and fenders. That 57 sits in my garage today, waiting for my retirement to install an LT1 motor and 6 speed.

My dad had one of those CV4s back in the 1960s. Where he found it in Maine is a mystery. It was a great little car though, and would go through snow like you wouldn't believe.

Hamber's, Mr Hispano is my personnal "home caster"
He made the 51 old's tail lights bezel and the quick change cap and a lot of other parts......

Another job:

the 32 sedan French body is very different than the american body. The bigger difference is the windshield frame and the front roof section. On the French body there is'nt any moulding around the windshield!!! and it's very ugly!!!!

So I dicide to fabricate a small series (4pieces) of american windshield section reproduction....

I copy an original 32 american two doors sedan, very rare in France, maybe the only one!!!
