It took a few hours to go through these 600 plus posts of this thread; but your build is incredible! I don't know how I missed it for so long, but now I am subscribed. Just so many good ideas are right here.

It's funny how everytime I do a google search for something hot rod involved, I end up back on the HAMB. I'm sure glad this showed up. It make long nights at work go by quickly.

Amazing work! As someone who does most/all of the polishing where I work, I hate polishing things, so this car would be torture for me! But the work is incredible and the welds are outstanding.

Curious to know how much that chassis weighs though. Stainless isn't exactly light! Thinner wall?

 

Thanks, Stainless isn't any heavier than normal steel, Its a myth that its heavier.

 

You know now that you say that, and I think about what makes stainless, well... stainless, that makes sense to me. Sorry for having a "duh" moment in your thread

Nobody knows it all mate, no problem.

 

Not much i'm afraid, I've been working on a Willys build as a promo for the bodies i sell so work on the 26T has been slow, I have got the short motor all built and i'm currently porting out the heads and gasket matching etc etc so not very photographic i'm afraid.

 

I really wish you would get back to work on this car.

Okay, so what pain color is that beautiful engine paint? Is it a custom mix?

Will it crack in heat and cooling?

Yes I custom mixed it, I called it moneyshot.
It will cope with temps no problem, I have painted my engines this way for the last 20 years without any problems.

 

Okay, so it is me still. I just changed my name. Can you PM me the mixtures and brands?

 

It's a custom mix I would rather keep to myself I'm afraid, my mixing style wouldnt be any good to you anyway, why not make up your own mix, any paint shop should be able to help.
