Got access to a printer tomorrow so a few copies of that are in order. Nice garage art plastered around and can see a few Xmas cards there!!!
That's a topic in itself. Some say Barris started it to get attention to his "Kustom" stuff. To me personally, Kustoms are closer to the late 50s through mid 60s customs, usually laid out lead sleds or mild midwest types. Lately I spell that way because I think it's "kool", even though it tends to chap a few **** cheeks in this forum

Channeled is when the body is lowered down over the frame, raising the floor but lowering the overall roofline or height of the body. Some newbs here (usually from the 'mini truckin' crowd) call that a 'body drop' or 'body dropped' much to the chagrin of some of us.
Page 4 "Cutting the coil springs". I remember a couple "low budget" alternatives in the 60s. One was heating the coil springs until they collapsed which in my opinion was just totally stupid. The other option (which I must admit to using) was drilling out the "A" arms and inserting J bolts to pull the coils together. At least option two was easily reversible ....
K-Cut - cutting the vehicle body horizontally all around the car and adding metal so as to increase the body height.
Gator, This is way off topic but in the later '60s some of the Uni-Body guys were pulling the bisquets from between the front subframe and the body and calling that channeling.
How about "Gingerbread", as in bolt on junk that serves no purpose. Items such as dumby spots, lake pipes, accesory antenae, white mudflaps with red, amber or blue reflectors, hub caps with oversized spinners and more bullets than an infantry division, light up hood ornament, bolt on or stick on louvers, curb feelers, goofy dash animals etc. These things only become "gingerbread" when used in excess. That ussually results in a car going from "mild custom" to "gookwagon".
Rounded Corners? I have been thinking about doing that to my 50 and also the bull nose. If the bull nose is on the side of the hood. I bought a extra hood to play with just in case I mess up. I've been looking for pics on here but I didn't no what to call it. Looks like someone could come up with a better name than rounded corners.
The bull nose is in the center of the hood on the front. I have heard rounded corners called radiused I guess that sounds a little more high tech. If that is your '50 in your avitar they look real good with a peaked hood to me.
I didn't see anyone mention either "boxed" or "bobbed" frames for welding an additional side panel on a C channel frame thus forming a box for added HP applications and removal of the frame horns in front of the front crossmember.
I'm actually sending out race cards for Christmas this year. I'm not sure which race yet; possibly Daytona 500. Didn't the street-rod scene really originate in the late 70s? That's almost 40 years ago! When will there be a HAMB community for traditional street rods? I can just anticipate the fervent dicussions over NOS Corvette induction systems, day glo graphic paint jobs, and vintage billet brightwork. Totally rad.
Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but there's shortening of the wheelbase and sheet metal, often (not always) helping to make a 2D from a more common 4D.
