your post will then qualifie you and your name will go on the master list or lists you quaifie for you must make it to the master list to consamate your entry
at the bottom of the page under these rules i will make the list and up date it

5.alliance members get 2 chances to win in each contest if qualified and if an qualified alliance member is picked in the first round its a WINNER TAKES ALL and ends the contest for bolth

Wooooooooo!!!!!! Perfect timing! I'm gathering up parts for my '50 Ford Shoebox rebuild.

It's going from beater 4 door to full custom. Gonna do a 2 door conversion and chop it 4" up front and 5" in the rear, round the hood corners, lincoln door buttons, thinking about '52 Caddy taillights, plus some other cool shit.





Got it all gutted and soda blasted...ready to start cutting!!!

Not an alliance member yet but will be in a few weeks. so that still counts rite? Well my plans for my 54 cadillac is get it running by next spring and start driving it. Ive had it since i was 14 stoped working on it to build a truck now im back on it here is a picture of it. Was my uncles before he past away so it will be built in his memory. Also if a cali member wins would it be fine to pick them up at your shop?

This is a son/father project.1954 Chrysler New Yorker. It's my son's car and I'm helping him build it.Picture it chopped 3" and sectioned 4" and turned into a 2 door with the orignal Hemi to push it down the road.

Here's my '52 Pontiac Super DeLuxe Catalina hardtop...this car is a true survivor.

Originally a mild custom from sometime in the 60's (from what I can tell) it was rescued from sure destruction just 5 days before Hurricane Katrina hit Pass Christian, MS in 2005.

Back in the day the car had been dechromed (including the stainless trim on the hood), pinstriped, repainted maroon with a black top (from the original green/black) and a new black naugahyde interior replaced the original two toned leather.

The dash was also painted black/maroon to match the exterior.

Originally equipped with a straight 8 and a 3 speed, I now have an Olds 330 for it and hope to keep the "three on the tree" hooked to a later model Saginaw transmission.

My plans for it include repairing the trunk and floor pans (which are in pretty good shape), pull the body off the frame and blast and paint the frame, do some of the small rust repairs that are needed but keep the patina paint job at least for the near future.

I want to drop the front 2/3"and rear about 4".

Next will be the engine/trans install and to get it roadworthy. I am amazed at how good the mechanicals are on this car...the brakes and suspension are pretty darn good all things considered.

I found the correct seats for the car (after discovering how different the hardtop rear seats are from a sedan) and have found some of the missing dash trim that I didn't get with the car.

Maybe, a few years down the road, I will try giving the car a little "haircut".....

Since these pix were shot in Indiana, where the car was delivered to before I brought it home, I have cleaned up the car, inventoried the trim parts and set them aside, pulled the wheels to check the brakes and related suspension parts.

I also have installed the bumpers and mocked up all the trim pieces that I will reuse and cleared a spot in my shop to get it out of the weather.

I think this old Catalina, a pretty rare car, is worthy enough to save and bring back to it's original customized glory.

Since I usually name the old cars I own (a habit I picked up from my Dad), this one will be "Katrina" since she dodged the hurricane of the same name.

 

Count me in, I could use a notch/uprights in the worst way.. My teeth hurt
