How much power do you need to make in order to run direct drive?

The latest update isn't much, however Harry Hauch was kind enough to lend me a "Poly" mock-up block so I can use it for fitting the front nose sections next week when Harry Phillips delivers them. I also carved a fuel tank templet out of foam to be used for running fuel lines. Everything is subject to change. Still need to get a front cover and pump extention from Ftroop this week.

Harry was here to deliver and rough fit the nose and belly pan on friday. Hopefully he will post some pictures he took soon. I'll post what I have on Sunday. I've said it before and i'll say it again, Harry was definitely the right guy to build this body. It's perfect.

Hot Rod Harry here, sorry to have not posted these sooner. I completed the last 2 molds and have made the front belly pan and upper nose section. On Friday, I loaded everything up and left Cleveland Ohio for Michigan. (Go north till you smell it and turn left until you step in it is what my Ohio State GPS said!!!) Actually, it was a great drive with really nice weather and Michigan is really nice. I got there about noon and went to work right away trimming for the final fit of the axle, torsion bar and steering and stuff. It was so cool to see the final effort in the "flesh" so to speak and rail took life right in front of our eyes. A dream come true for Todd. Here are the pictures and also the end of a long process. Look on EBAY for ads for the bodies hopefully next week. Thanks to all for the kind words........Hot Rod Harry P.S. last picture is me.....!

We are just about done... 1 more measly ton tomorrow and that will wrap up this year "1173 tons total". Still plenty of grapes in tank right now but the work load has subsided a bunch. I will start poke'n round in the shop within a week or so cleaning things up and remembering how the equipment work etc! I haven't been out there in 2 months....

Car is still on the JIG just waiting for me! :)
