Yeah, 3 in the front 4 in the back. I'm about to chop my '50, I'm thinking 3.5 and 5. mine sits a bit lower in the back though, on springs of course... This car is great inspiration though, very mild and classy chop, I just want a HAIR more..maybe stick to 4.5 in the back and just take a hair more crown out of the roof itself at the rear. Hans
This is a great thread. There's been pleny in it to inspire me during the build on my 50, which I wasn't going to add this early. But, we got the sail panels in yesterday so the chop is finally closed up, and I thought maybe some of you would dig seeing it.
I couldn't pick out a favorite.. There's just too many of them. However. If I were to end up with a Chevy of my own to customize, then the stance and proportions of this one would be a major influence on mine.
Thanks! Here's the build thread if you are interested, http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=673698
This is my fav, because it is all I have!! Just wish I had the money and time to get back to work on it, and finish!
God the cars on this thread are sweet. I had to sell my 50 sedan deluxe last year while in a financial pinch, and regret never burnt so bad. Sent from my HTC VLE_U using Tapatalk
There was a cover car in R & C or maybe Custom Rodder years back of a light blue fastback that had been hardtopped and made to look like factory. It also had Packard bubble taillights, if I remember correctly. Anyone else remember this car??
I think Berkys deserves to be up there.. Not only did he take it from what it was to what it is .. But all on his first build and learning at the same time. I am on my first build and trying to follow in his footsteps .. Can post pics from the app or I would .. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App! Using iPhone 6
Top 3 would be Valencia , bass fleet line and Ian's . Although the devils lettuce is another one of my favorites oh lol Alonso forgot senior slips too Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
When Mike Cox had the Glass House, his delivery was a rolling business card. He retired, but still has it, sans advertising. Nice car!!
