Wow! Alex, you never stop amazing me with your giveaways! Incredibly generous! And with the economy the way it is, you're helping out hobbies and passions thrive!

Well, I think I might finally qualify for one of your giveaways! WOOHOO!

Next project up on the chopping block is our 1953 Pontiac 2-door sedan. Been through some hard times with this one and looking forward to doing it right. I bought this from a guy in Vegas many moons ago, sold it, and bought it back. The guy I originally bought it from in Vegas thought it would be cool to cut 3-coils out of the front to get it down. It settled to the bump stops with NO ENGINE! HAHA! It needs to be set up correctly and Fatman is the only one making uprights for these Ponchos... Hope it qualifies! Gonna' make a great "family truckster"! :D Going the direction of a nice sitting mild custom!

With help from lots of HAMB buddies, I got it back in my possession a couple years ago.

Check this out! HAHA! "Step away from the springs!"

My lil' sis Brandy donated a first generation 389 from a '60 Catalina for the cause!

Alex I need to get my 51 Merc lowered. I'm going to bag the rear and would like to get the front as low as possible with the original Mercury front suspension. Please put me in for the uprights and the notch.
    You guys rule
    Thank you very much!

This is the next on the chopping block, 1951 sedan is actually in decent shape
except where someone had tried to make a gasser out of it. We would love the rear notch, the 50' shoe notches worked perfect.

  7. I will give it a shot. I want to build this one after I come home from Afghanistan. My plan is to have a family driver build. I hope it qualifies.

Here's my '50 with a 4" mild chop, keeping the side stainless and trunk hinges but all other trim is shaved. Running the factory optional 16" wheels and tires. I lowered it as much as I can without the dropped uprights and a notch kit but would look much better if i could bring it down another 1-2". This is my first project and have been learning everything along the way. I wanted the car to look like Ford's concept sketch before the car was sent to production, sleeker lines, better stance and proportions but still retain the spirit of the original car. The paint and interior choices are inspired by Leroy Goulart's shoebox with the lime/gold paint and all white trad tuck n/roll interior. It's got the original 226 flat 6 which I'm keeping as it runs perfectly but now with dual 94's and hopefully a split exhaust soon.

  11. I think my f'n monster truck needs some lowering love..

Currently busting ass on it hoping to get it ready for Santa Maria. Short term plans before Santa Maria were lowering, stereo, intake, carb, distributer, mounting my skirts, redoing the package tray, and putting on some lancer caps...

Want it similar to this in the long run...

I'm very new here as this is my newly acquired baby! A 1950 Merc 4 door. It will become a tail dragger by next year for our local car event, even if it kills me.This has been my dream car for a very long time.
I am glad to finally have a reason to be on this board instead of just lurking, dreaming and drooling! I will be becoming an alliance member within the next 24 hours! I believe in supporting those that will be supporting me!
Here is a link to a very detailed post I just did about getting her and her current state of affairs.

Below is how she looked when I got her. And this may be a bit gay, but My family and I named her - "Josephine". Always liked that name for a car for some reason.
Hope to be able to qualify for some great items that would get me on my way!

I'll throw my hat it with my '50 Chevy. I could really use a notch in the back to keep from bottoming out all the time, and the nose really needs to come down a little more to correct the stance. Those uprights would be just the ticket.

Thanks, Gambino Kustoms for making this happen!

damn its time to re-up my membership, I'm a week over!!!

I could really use me a new pair of uprights for my '53
Day one - right where I want it to be in the front.

Over the Winter I plan on lifting the body and adding a notch with 4 link and dropped uprights. This would be a great prize to win with top notch quality!!! I am keeping my fingers crossed.
