65Standard yes, you just leave the hole for the brake pedal. For the accelerator pedal I will have to make a hole in the firewall
because it will install a tri-power fuel system.

    Thanks

  3. I'm still in chock over the 60K... You need to find someone in the states you trust! There are plenty here, I'm sure you know that. To put things in perspective I payed 11K
to have 2 trucks that I had about 4K in, from Baltimore to where I live in Sweden tax included. 3K later one of them is on the road..... I'm about to start on number 2, but I'm sure you get the picture.
If you need help with contacts, I've got a bunch, just let me know!

There is guy by my with a '55 chevy truck. He has $65k in it. And that is with no custom metal work and just a small block chevy. Imagine if he invested in custom metal work and say a Hemi? I could see one these trucks topping $100k

  6. No idea how I missed this thread.......

Frank you're doing an amazing job!
I can also appreciate how hard it can be sourcing and buying parts when you're based in Europe, not to mention the shipping costs!

Can't wait to see it finished,It should stand out well against all the little 'Eurobox' cars!!

I have just spent a few hours looking and reading your thread---
Amazing work, particularly when considering that you have never done this before! You do the best work I've seen, I think. What a nice truck that is. Good luck with the rest of the build. Perley

I know, but the need for transport to Italy $3500 plus 30% tax on the value of the vehicle. For us Europeans, the cost to have a car like this becomes very expensive.

I have more questions about your front suspension.

Are the a-arms stock size, or minus 5/8" or minus 1"?
What rack are you using? Mustang II or fox body mustang?
    Stock size rack or extended?

Did you get the steering all connected?

    Thanks.

    Hi, sorry for delay :).

    Upper A-Arms 7/8", lower A-Arms 1". Heidts complete kit.
I use Power rack Mustang II but I am not convinced to install because it is remanufactured. I have not bought the steering column and steering shaft but I think installing a Flaming River (or Ididit) Steering Column with column shift.

    Thanks :)

    Hi Moneyfornothing,

you have already booked for the Kustomweekend?
    Registration is now open.

    See you soon :)

  28. Keep up the great work. You have done such a great job of documenting your adventure, its crazy to think you had a truck you thought qas purfect to begin with just to tear it apart and find out all that you had to do. Now it really is going to be perfect, you are doing an amazing job. My sister lived in Milan for a few years and we never saw anything like this on the roads over there. I can't wait for you to have it up and running. I am so excited for you.
I am just about to start on a 53 3 window. and you have given me tons of motivation with clear pictures and explanations to learn from.
Way to be different with the white chassis!

Many thanks Pdunn, compliments are always welcome :).
My masters are you and if my work is progressing well, I owe to you, with your help.

It will take another year of work, and especially of money :) but it should be different from everyone else.
I can not wait to finish. I wish you a good job on your '53 and if you need some pictures or questions, you will not hesitate to ask, I will be happy to help you.

In January there will be other updates

    Merry Christmas to all [IMG]

Have you done anything with the exhaust yet? Can you fit tailpipes over/under the rear axle?
