Ran all day. Rained a little bit in the middle of the night but woke up to a dry lake bed. Cold, winds calm. Overall great day. Tomorrow should be a repeat of today.

  6. Tim ran 122, 115 and 118. Said the course got crappy after the first runs.

OK...just rolled into the garage...short day for me.
Weather was good. By 9 it was t-shirt perfect. No wind while I was there. In fact the first few runs had to have a few minutes between them for the dust to clear. With no wind, the dust did a slow-motion drift....
Great day...last event of the year.
Now the long wait until May.

  9. Ok Tim what did you do????

  10. Fantastic November meet!
Happy faces everywhere 'cause the weather gods kept the lakebed dry. Great track early on, later not so good. Still, a couple of folks managed to get into the "Dirty Two" club with late runs.
Everyone was able to run 6 times (we did and upped our record twice). Firebreathing fuel roadsters. Super fast bikes.
Smallish turnout for a 2-day meet 'cause the "glass half empty" folks believed the weather forecasters and stayed home.
    2011 was a great Land Speed Racing season . . .

  11. Ran a best of 126.5, Sun was better than Sat! Still the coarse was gone by the time I got on it. Had a great time though! Next year is gonna be even better!

Congrats!!! Sorry I had to miss it. But with a sister-in-law here from Europe (and the sidecar not ready) it made racing a bit more than difficult.

WHAT A PERFECT WEEKEND!!! Last week was very stressful not knowing if it was going to happen or not but we planned on running until they told us no. We had a pretty good storm Sat 2am but from there it was perfect, a little cold but tolerable.
We made a total of 6 runs with my kid riding. We had some new gearing but it sucked, ran in the low 60's on Sat then I tried a ratio that shouldnt have worked and we ran 67.5, a new personal best. We still didnt make it into the dirty .07 club but we have 6 months to find another 32 mph. Glad we made it cause it was THE BEST weekend so far on the lakebed. It was good seeing old friend and making new ones.
OH YEAH there was a 52 Buick running that was the coolest thing ever.
Jeff Brock of Brocks rockets?? ( I think) I have pics I will post later.

Lance, appears you have discovered one of the LSR truths - You have to BE READY at every opportunity if you want to be successful.

Two great racing days, 14 car records, 5 bike records, 4 new members in the El Mirage 200 MPH club. White Goose Bar was 33% sucessful, the other 66% learning for next season.

It was an amazing weekend. Lots of runs for those that were there. For Chick and I we were without a vehicle so we got to help another certain green truck. And as such only grabbed a couple of shots.

Hey Warner, details on the 33%?
Rick's ride shot every duck out of the socal sky's.
Mang's truck was parked on the return road about 300 feet off the start.
Never did get if Romero was trying for mid 150's on license upgrade?
Fill us in on the details (I should have asked when we were shooting the breeze)

  20. Nice, looks like she ran straight and true.

Wow they sure changed the front of that car, I wonder how much it helped speed wise?

i told brock that he would have won our consistency award if we had one. he ran like 141, 143, 144, and maybe 144 again. i believe those are his same speeds at bonneville but i could be wrong.
