It's a 38. Is that close enough? I think it looks cool!

I'm usually a coupe and roadster kinda guy myself, but lately I have been feeling a fat Ford sedan. With '39s, I have always been a deluxe or nothing kinda guy too. I'm also usually one of the first people to bark when some says "Can a four door be cool?"... So imagine my suprise when one of my favorite cars at Good Guy's Scottsdale gig this weekend was a '39 standard, AND a Fordor!!! The sign of a new, kinder, gentler me? Let's hope not!

'38-40' Tudor sedans are******in' cars that don't need a whole bunch.

That's my car. I had two sedans one tudor and the fordor. For some reason other than the fordor being a tad nicer I liked the fordor. The goodguys trip was my first trip out of town it did well and inhad a blast driving it.

  10. Perhaps a bit radical for this thread (and it's a hybrid 39/40), but I think my buddy's car is the****s! Although these pics were taken at our local show, this car was built to be driven and it will get the wheels run off of it!

I absolutely love the ‘38-‘40 Ford fastback design. To me, chopping, carson topping, etcetera just screws them up.

I’m a bit afraid of those cars, though, as I have this recurring nightmare where I’m in one, barreling down a hill toward a stout tree, and the brakes only just barely slow the car.

  25. The last thing to alter on 38,39,40's are the grills, to me.

39 sedan as a mild custom, for sure! I know, its a 40, but the front on a 38/9 is also great, some say better!

  27. Man, I wish I had more, but this is a fresh build and the car is now put away for the winter.. I will see if anyone else around here has some I can post. It's a gorgeous interpretation of a really nice body style (IMHO). Here are a couple more local Tudors to keep the thread going:

Normally I totally agree but that Caddy grille on the red car in Hotrodsurfer's photo looks mean as hell to me.
