Just in case my wife happens to get on here looking for ideas, let her know I would really like a 49-51 Mercury, chopped, slammed, and a big caddy under the hood! Thanks!!! More on topic, how many guys have a cool wife/girl, parents, etc. that helps out their project wish list every x-mas? In the past I have gotten really cool tools, B&M shifters, intakes, and more cool tools! This year has already been a hit, my parents bought my brother and I each a 4-post car lift for our shops! I was going to buy one earlier this year and my dad stepped in and stopped me because they were already planning on gettting them at X-mas. We set them up last month and I love it! They claim it is because of all the stuff we do for them but reality is we are just a really close family and enjoy spoiling the hell out of each other!
My wife has, for past Christmas gifts, given me gauges, a quick change, tools, and TRJ subscription renewals. She is a keeper.
all I get for X-Mas is cookies from my sister. my brother and I are great junk collectors. we used to give each other some old cool item every year, after we both saw that we were both selling our gifts at a swap meet or antique show after a few years we just eliminated the middle man and sold our own crap. much easier that way.
I'll take a Dremel Saw Max or a Roto Zip saw, and a steel '32 Ford. I won't be picky on the '32, any version will be fine.
SMALL SQUARE ADHESIVE TAGS. My wife asked me last night what was on my list, I said registration for the kustom ($180, a $63 Non-op is due by 12/29 or fees go up. If yer gonna pay 63, why not put it towards tags...), I laughed but was pretty serious. Told her I've been thinking of non-op' ing the daily driver flatbed (hundred-and-sixty due at the end of January) to drive The Baby occasionally. I've spent the past years trying to get it back on the road, it'll be so by Christmas at the rate we're going, why not be able to legally cruise it? I know there's plenty of people with reg fees much higher than that, still not cheap though, on top of saving my shop and Christmas shopping to come. Great post, btw.
Hey, Tim, all I knew about was the Ford truck...what else do you have? You need to go North ion the 101 for about 80 miles, and come up and see the T....
Christmas has come early. Booked in for some more ink next month and given myself a new set of custom made adjustable shocks and coils. A nice 60mm (f) and 80mm (R) arse end drop. As low as you can go without major reworking or a dangerous car and will be done right. My very understanding family are all throwing in for a complete suspension polybush kit. I know that, i had to order it!!!! Even better i'm getting all my Christmas visits done early so i know where i'll be on Christmas Day. Playing with suspension, in a warm garage, some nice tunes and fueled with the odd Bourbon. My idea of a happy Christmas
All I can hope for is some major positive change to a certain east coast city(W) because if it doesnt happen soon everything else is finished!!
I'd really like some headers for my Y block. And a non leaking rear end too. Oh, and a 5 speed transmission would really be great!
I'd be happy if the MOON tank for the Lyndwood turned up, it's in the house here somewere. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
My mom has given me a sub for TJR a few times. This year? She got us a new toilet... I'm still hoping for a early hemi, a '33/34 five window body, and a set of mint, short bar lancers...
My wife just paid for half of some vintage mag torque thrusts off craigslist! Couldn't ask for a better gift for our first Christmas married!!
