Ok.. So i was thinking what cars deserve to have a feature in The Rodder's Journal? I want to know what people think deserves to be in it. Lets not just start throwing up photos of your own cars cause its your and want it in the magazine. Lets post photos of cars that truly deserve the recognition of being in The Rodder's Journal. Maybe with everyones help we can get someone's car in it. So lets see whats everyone thinks.

Here are a few of my picks. Mine are all customs.

    1. Jeff Neppl 1950 mercury
Its straight up a time machine. Not very many people are building period correct customs. Also its is the last car Dick Dean chopped. That is straight up history right there.

    2. Fabian Valdez 1950 Chevy coupe
Another great looking custom right there. Fabian car also looks like it could of rolled out of the Ayala's shop. All of the modifications are very smooth. Great showing of less is more.

    3. John Fisher 1936 Ford 3 window
Straight up beautiful! The car is perfect in every way. Im really speechless on how John's car looks.

About F-ing time someone brought this up!!!!! All three of these cars have way more work done to them that the Chevy that recently had a 14 PAGE feature. Do not get me wrong that car is badass, but if that car didn't have that paint job it is just another Chevy. All three of the cars mentioned above are way more than paint jobs!!

I've got Vol 1 #1 of The Rodders Journal and most of the ones after it and can't think of any feature car that shouldn't have been in there. So far they are doing a great job picking cars, sure wouldn't want to see the selection process change.

I think farmer12's bada$$ Plymouth will be a great candidate for TRJ once it's finished. This car is my personal favorite here on the H.A.M.B. Just curious if the photographer will go all the way to Europe........;)

I grew up in Long Beach so lowriders have always been part of me. Watching them cruise up and down our street and ridding in them with us kids thinking we were bad asses. It would be a different step for TRJ , but i think they would never do.

Unless I missed it I dont understand why this has not been in the TRJ,I cant even begin to list the history and achievments it has accomplished.I think all 3 of Arts racecars should have a major feature, they all have made a big impact on Hotrod history.

Bickford thanks for the compliment about my car but I dont think it will be happening anytime soon.:)

Jeff your car really should be in there magazine. If TRJ doesn't put your mercury in an issue then TRJ don't know shit about real customs. There thinking of putting a car that sits on a 94 Caprice. FUCKING REALLY!?

Your mercury has all the right touches.

I had a feeling your thread was started because of my car. It's a 95 Caprice chassis. ;)

This was started cause of the last issue, past issues and whats coming in the next issue.. Then i read that yours might go into the next one. Not a fan of the look of your car. I will give you a lot of respect on the metal work you did one it. To me your car sceams late 80s early 90s. That how i feel.

I'm sorry you don't like it, but glad that a lot of people do like it, like Gene Winfield, Steve Coonan and Faye Butler.

  20. Just wondering about the grill here......is it a solid piece?

Well, I'm gonna ruffle some feathers here, but in general if I never have to look at a custom again in TRJ I'd be a happy camper...

NTAPHSE, I do like your car and I see nothing '80s or '90s about it. Not quite sure where that is coming from. Just kinda wish I understood customs.

    Hey,

All of the vehicles mentioned are GOOD examples, but most have enjoyed ink somewhere else! The lowrider deal, with the killer paint job is a good example of that art form, but would probably make the TRJ readership shit a phonebook! A magazine that tries to be all things to all people is headed for the retaining wall.

WOW!!! I think you broke my foot with all the names you drop. Off to the E.R. now. HAHAHAHAHA!

Yes there are gonna be people that love your car and people don't like it. It will gor the same with any car that is built. This is a open forum and we all have the right to speak our minds on things. Lokking inside your car is very late 80s early 90s. COOL!!! You built a modern custom , but its not my style or taste.

This car is BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm sure TRJ wont do a feature on it either.

  29. I don't remember TRJ ever doing a feature on a satin paint car especially a custom so I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on customs without gloss paint being featured.
