Features Who's Building a T?

On my coupe I used an over-sized pice of plywood with 1'' of foam covered with some red metal flake vinyl. To bolt it down I used some elevator bolts.

 

Thanks for the lowdown on your roof, Mr Cheater. I really dig the glitter vinyl.

Anyone notice Stoner's T in the new issue of Autocult? I love that car. It was on the letter from the editors page. Just one more reason to pick up a copy.

 

Here's mine. 1925 RPU, model A frame, 289 with a C4 trans.

 

Nice to see an OHV Ford V8 in a Ford.

 

This car was not built by Clarke Bates as I originally thought. Thanks for steering me straight on my facts, Clark. Anyone who if it's owned by a HAMBER? I'd love to post the car's specs for the benefit of those of us currently building a T.

The photo I posted came from here on the HAMB. Don't think there was a build blog on it. It was at least a year or two ago that it was built. I remember seeing it in a couple of mags. Maybe someone else on here knows where to find more on it. I don't have any more shots of it. Here's another build by Clark:

Slimegreen....I can't take credit for the dark maroon T coupe. Nice build but not mine. I did build the blue T and it belongs to HRM2K now.

"Built" absolutely counts, HAckman. What are the specs of your car if you don't mind my asking. Frame, amount of chop, engine, trans, suspension, etc. I think a lot of people currently building a T would love to know. Thanks for posting your car. It looks sano.

Sorry for the miss on the credit, Clark. I was under the mistaken impression you'd built the maroon T as well as that sweetass blue one. If you don't mind, would you be willing to share the specs for your blue car. Type of frame, amount of chop, engine, trans, suspension, paint texture, etc. I'm sure the guys building T's on here would love to know your math, given how perfect that car sits. HRM2K is a lucky man.

Looks like a pretty decent body for someone who knows their way around patch panels. The trunk lid alone is worth a pretty penny, assuming it's straight and devoid of cancer. I"ll let you know if I hear of someone looking, ArtGeco.

Even though I'm not chopping mine, I think this chop looks bitchen' proportionally speaking. Notice how the rear side window measures almost "square"? Love the patina, too, although mine will likely wear suede. two stage-paint with a flat clear.

 

Keepin' it tall.

T buckets are a blast! Some would argue that they were the 1st hotrods ever!
At 1700lbs, 420 horses and a 89" wheelbase, mine is not for the weak at heart.
It does however,fall into my definition of "fun"!
