On my 303 it has 1/8" or so br*** oil lines drilled and tapped into the end of the rocker shafts, is that normal? I didnt see any obvious oiling p***ages at a glance, but this looks too homemade to me

That's an overhead oiler put on to increase the oil supply over the marginal factory design. JC Whitney and others made them or could be home made. Also common on Y-block Fords. Could you post a pic or explain how the line goes through the valve cover?
Like how can you remove & replace the cover with that line on there. Also, where's the pressure source come from?

I gotta look at the block, i'll get back to you guys, the heads were off when i got it, but there is a line and a splitter, and no obvious holes in the v-covers or valley so i think it musta snaked throught the oil return and tapped into the oil galley under the valley, but i'm not sure

Okay, so i finally dug into it, it looks like they knotched the valve covers and snaked the line out to a T that went to the oil pressure sending unit, pretty simple. Did it work you ask?? i dunno, the motor was never ran long enough to wear the crosshatching out of the cylinders

That setup works fine to byp*** the frequently plugged up rocker
    oil p***ages in the block.
More often seen on the early Y-Block Fords.
